I want a Bat symbol that you can see. The problem with the Nolan suit is that the design is lost in all the grooves and armour lines. This. Nolans suit did a lot of good things but the flaw was it lost the iconic Bat symbol in it.

I can't wait to see the new bat suit. Nolan made some great changes with the light weight cape and helmet style cowl. Now we just need to get rid of the rubber suit. Seriously if you watch any batman movie most of the time he's just standing still or they have to cut away every second to give the illusion he"s moving fast. And why does batman need a full body suit of bullet proof armor. It may have looked uber campy but practically speaking Adam west in his costume could kick the crap out of all the others in there heavy rubber suits. I thought these little fan films did a great job at a modern take on the comic bat-suit. Awesomeness starts at 2:10. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuKQ3Oc97Wk

(Puts on body armor) Jeremy Irons is great and Eisenberg is a terrific actor. I wont argue that it isnt odd casting but I'm going to make the same argument I always do. Heath Ledger. The internet shit the bed when he was cast as Joker and look what happened. I think as long as we don't get a Bat suit with nipples the film cant be THAT bad... Hopefully.

Both Eisenberg and Irons are great actors and I know they'll do great.

I don't know much about the Jesse guy but he strikes me as to young. As always though I'll reserve judgment until I see the film.

I'm in for Irons.....UNLESS Eisenberg somehow can pull out the charisma and feel of power that Lex should have, I do not see him as Lex at all (this is based on the fact that pretty much most of his roles are as the socially awkward or smarty pants guy).

I was initially somewhat shocked. He looks young, he's scrawny, and kind of has a high pitched whiny voice. But after I thought about it I'm really curious to see what we'll get. If Bryan Kranston had been offered the part we more or less would have known what to expect. And in retrospect Eisenberg is around 31 years old, and his character in the social network does have a lot of similarities to Luthor. And the scrawny factor could be a good contrast to Superman. Brains over Brawn. As long as he goes bald I'm game.

For Irons, it's a no-brainer and there really isn't anything to say. "Esteemed English actor who adds a marquee name to a star studded cast and can pull off the role with grace and charisma" - Check. I'm good with Eisenberg. I wonder how much of the bias against him is created by the existing feature film material. I'm not a student of Superman but I've always understood Lex to be Clark's age, while Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey were both a generation older than the person who played Supes in the previous films. How much of the insta-bad-reaction a lot of fans had goes back to that? Oh, and the fact that Eisenberg isn't already bald. This is a modern movie, and you really don't see the kind of cartoony "BUSINESSMAN" type anymore - the people who are captains of industry aren't necessarily handsome or broad shouldered. I think his... gawkyness (for lack of a better word) portrays better the modern "BUSINESSMAN" better. I fear most people only know Eisenberg for Zombieland. He's downright terrifying at times in The Social Network - he has this ability to pull off a "You really don't want to eff with me" smolder that I think will work the part well. I hear Now You See Me is also something people want to watch with him playing Lex in mind. Oh, and I bet if you held up photos of Eisenberg and Michael Cera, a lot of the people who are upset couldn't pick who was who Oh, Oh - this by no means is meant to say that someone who doesn't like Eisenberg is a doofus, I'm thinking of the caterwaulling masses we saw on twitter and in blog comments yesterday.

I hate that this movie seems to be minimizing Superman's development. I did have some issues with MoS, but I was more than willing to give the creative team a chance to develop Kal-El. Now, they have the job of developing what seems like an ever increasing amount of characters and Superman. Color me worried.

Batman was exciting to hear about, then wonder woman was confirmed, and now I'm hearing rumors about Aquaman. They're already running the risk of Batman overshadowing Superman, you don't need to throw in a ton more characters.

To me, this shows how little confidence WB has with the long term chance of success for any MoS sequel and what their real intentions were. I was confused because I felt WB was trying to tie MoS to TDK trilogy (you know like trumpeting that Goyer and Nolan were behind the story). I think as a TDK trilogy fanboy, I went into MoS with the belief I was going to see the start of a project that would be as good as TDK trilogy. I feel that was how WB was billing the movie. What I got was fine, but now I realize that the last thing WB wanted was another TDK trilogy. They wanted to sell toys and to set up Justice League. When I rewatch MoS, I totally understand WB future plans.

I like the castings, but havent got much confidence in them pulling off a cohesive well plotted film as they didnt get MoS right. With everything they are introducing in this second installment what are the chances of doing it right this time. It will be like MoS, some things done really well, character building with the kents, helping people secretly and stuff, the flash backs, ruined by the need to puch every building in sight and then a smooch with a girl youve met twice while people die in the rubble.
