Superior seems to have fans divided. Follow dan slot and twitter and you'll see he still is getting crazy grief for it. Personally I love it. Of course I don't think it's gonna last forever, or even through all of 2014, but it's been a crazy change of pace for the character. I do think there's a plan in place and that at the end Otto actually does have a redeeming moment. But that's just my idea.
Where does the community stand on it? Love it or hate it?

While I don't love it, I definitely enjoy it and appreciate what Dan Slott is trying to do and so far it has me liking every issue that I read, I think all the people giving Dan Slott grief are pathetic though.

Great read and got me interested in reading Spider-man which I'd never been compelled to do before.
I can understand anyone not liking a book but to call a writer out on it is moronic and futile. It's a fictional character. It'll be a joyous day when those people realise that not buying a book is a better way to end it than not buying it and giving it attention.

I love the series, heck it was the reason I started reading ongoing Spider-man comics. I think that Slott's whole run in building towards the Goblin Nation storyline and with a big event like that, one would expect Peter to come back.

I haven't read a Spiderman book in years. I was thinking about picking up the first trade of Superior Spiderman... but it's a little pricey. After hearing a lot of hate for it I wasn't sure if I should drop the money on it or not.
Maybe I'll read it digital.
The art really looks cool and it seems pretty good.

It's one of my favorite books and is always one of the first things I read whenever a new issue comes out.
I've been reading Spider-Man since Spider-Island and have since gone back and read almost every issue of Amazing Spider-Man that has ever been released (good or bad). I love the character of Peter Parker. He was one of my childhood heroes. Seeing him go in the way he did was terrible.
But...
Superior Spider-Man has, at least for me, done more for the character of Spider-Man in a year than Peter has done since One More Day. Peter, and Marvel for that matter, were spinning their wheels with him. Love SpOck or hate him, he's given him a new, fresh outlook that is something we haven't seen in a number of years. Is the book perfect? No. But considering they're probably going to reboot it here in a few months for ASM2 just kills me. It's a fun, funny, entertaining book and makes me excited to read Spider-Man again.

I saw this image in issie 15 i think and it blew me away. Peter will eventually come back and when he does i hope that he keeps some of Ocks ideas. Granted he takes it too far but Ock pushes what Spiderman could be. Maybe not henchmen, but some of the ideas have to stay

Agreed. Peter WILL come back at some point. Whether it's the hinted at issue 30 or issue 50 or whenever they decide to do it, it will happen. I just hope that everything I've read (and in a sense everything SpOck has done) won't have been for naught.

Spider-Man will always be my guy. I love the series. I see a lot of customers who didn't like the idea at first and skipped out on the early stuff. Now they are trying to grab all the back issues that they can. The sales of the series are always increasing here.

The sheer volume of abuse Dan Slott gets because of Superior is baffling! Agreed, this was a monumental shift change for Spidey, but it's been a triumph. The way things have gradually been layered on and how orginaically the story has progress makes for wonderful reading. I don't know about anyone else, but there's a level of tension I get when reading SSM that I rarely get from a book. I just keep waiting for things to unravel for Spidey and for him to be found out.
SSM rocks!!

I agree, the tension in SSM isn't replicated by any other book that I currently read, it definitely gives a unique mix of emotions and I even find myself rooting for Ock on the odd occasion which I never thought I would say.

Everyone's favourite moment so far?
Mine has to be the anti-climactic exchange with Black Cat. Still makes me chuckle.
Keep 'em spoiler free.

Glad to see people enjoying SSM.
For me, my favorite moment so far is either the stuffed animal scene (if you read it you'll get it) or Anna Marie in general.
