SSM is the go-to comic in the pile. I wouldn't argue it deserves any awards or is the even the best comic I read in a given month, it's the GO TO comic. A perfect pulpy mash of action and melodrama. I hope Anna Marie survives the inevitable (whenever it comes) reversion back to Peter Parker.

Everyone's favourite moment so far? Mine has to be the anti-climactic exchange with Black Cat. Still makes me chuckle. Keep 'em spoiler free. Also my favorite moment! Shockingly funny. It's a great series and I don't want to see it end but I am looking forward to Peter dealing with the utter mess Otto has made of his life (at least as Peter will see it). Gonna be some funny/sad/awkward moments for sure especially as relates to Anna Marie.

I wonder if Marvel will pull the same tactic that has done with Avengers/Avengers World...which is having both books shipping once a month and thus keeping Hickman on both titles. Superior could be still ship (since we have seen no indication of ending in March at all) but going to once a month to allow space for Amazing Spider-Man #1 (if that image is real Slott is writing it after all).

I think Amazing was starting to wear a little thin and needed a good spin. I'm really hoping SSM survives the release of The Amazing Spider-man 2 and continues for a little while longer.

SSM for me is a love hate relationship. I think Dan Slott is doing a great job it's just not how I want spider-man to be portrayed. I miss the wise crackin' Spidey. It kind of gets laborious to read a main character who is so selfish, he yells at Aunt May?? Dude not cool...

Issue #30 had some AMAZING moments! Really fist-pumped my way through the whole thing. I cannot wait for the epic conclusion, one of the best spidey stories in a long time for sure.

Did anyone else think it was way too short?

Did anyone else think it was way too short? It was way too short. Too much too fast, it could have easily went on for a while longer.

I think you really have to keep all the events that led up to and the issues of Superior in the forefront of your mind when examining the pace of issue #30. Alot of the exposition has already been done, I think Anna Maria being in serious trouble has really pysched Otto out. He only excels in moments where he has had time to prepare for an enemy, in this case he has been completely blindsided by Green Goblin and is barely able to keep up. That is where Peter and Otto really differ, Pete has the instincts to think quick on his feet and adapt, where as Otto is more of a gameplan person. So in order to save Anna Maria he surrenders to Peter in order to hopefully defeat the Green Goblin.

Gotta agree with you 100% Captain Superior. I said it in my review on the site, but the bread crumbs have been there for a bit. It does feel a little like too much too quick, but if you step back a second and look at everything, it really isn't that surprising.

The events of Superior Team-up this week help drive home the point about Otto's feelings.

I loved the events of 30. Otto realized how badly he was failing and now we get to see Peter figure his way out of it. Between the mayor, the Avengers and the Goblin King he has got his work cut out for him. But does anyone else thing that we may not have seen the last of Otto, or is it just me?
