Well I'm really going to try and stick to my guns and avoid the double-shipped stuff. 'Cause fuck that noise; fuck it so, so hard.
But I have to say, at the moment I'm feeling pretty good, pretty excited after the teams were announced. I used to buy two DC books monthly: Batman, & Gotham Academy (while trade-waiting a couple of others, like Sensation and Batgirl). Then I dropped Batman not long after Endgame, so I was down to a grand total of 1 monthly DC book (not counting Vertigo); this has been the case for most of the past year. Convergence didn't do me or DC any favors, and made it even easier to stay at 1 book.
HOWEVER, looking at these titles and teams, I'm now finding myself thinking about adding at least 2 or 3 books to that total (Gotham Academy will certainly still be in my pull). I'm likely to add Trinity, Batgirl, Batgirl & the BOP, & maybe Detective. All of those are currently due to be monthlies [edit: Seems as if Detective is set to be double shipping, actually]. So even if that's it, and even if let's-say one of those ends up not being great and I drop it, Rebirth would still have ended up selling me on 3 new books a month that I wasn't previously getting in singles. That's really good! That's an unexpected turn of events for me! And I can only consider that a success in terms of how this reset/reboot-thingy is going to affect me and my habits. Really strong turnaround in terms of it pulling me back into DC comics.
Add on top of that Rucka's WW and maybe All-Star Batman, both of which are double shipping, looks like, and if I do end up committing on those (and I can tell you that WW, in particular, looks like a strong bet for me), then DC would at that point be getting approximately between 5 and 9 times more money out of me every month than they've been getting. So with a sample size of 1, how it could affect me specifically, that's a huge success. Even worst case scenario, adding maybe only two more books (one of them being WW), that would still be quadrupling my DC take per month.
So hey! How about that! I have some gripes and nitpicks with how this is playing out, of course, but on the whole I'm pretty excited. Go figure.

There are definitely some very interesting and exciting creative teams coming of the announcements. I think I will probably be giving the majority of the rebirth books a shot and then deciding from there what I will keep reading.

In an interview, Scott Snyder confirmed that All Star Batman will only be once a month! Really? Wow. That surprising since all of the books that have multiple artists on them seem to be double shipping, and All-Star has more artists attached than any of the rest. Well I certainly hope that's the case, 'cause if it's once a month I'll definitely be grabbing it.

I was pretty happy with the Wonder Con announcements. I had only planned on picking up Batgirl and the Birds of Prey after Rebirth but now:
-Dinah's in Green Arrow, will definitely pick this up -Rucka's on Wonder Woman, gotta check that out -Jimenez and Lupaccino on Superwoman, now I'm intrigued -Selina playing a part in All Star Batman, will have to pick up arcs she's featured in
So well played DC. From 2 current series (Black Canary, Catwoman) to possibly 5. Pretty shocked by that!
OH! And possibly Trinity. Oy vey!

I am really, really happy about the move DC made. Marvel is pricing their Comics ridiculously expensive and so I dropped every Marvel book I was reading. Since the announcment of Rebirth I am soooo excited! I like the idea of doubleshipping, with the main titles at 2,99$ thats totally affordable! And the creative teams, wow! Rucka is back! Semper on Cyborg? Hell Yeah. That Batman roadmovie book by Snyder? It is sad, that DCYOU introduced diverse Comics and Characters, but the books won't sell. That was the big critisism towards DC. They were white male centered...but when they tried to open up, the books wont sell. In Germany the Dark-line was extremly popular...now I miss those books, but the feeling towards DC was always "oh, they are so negativ and brutal and dark...nothing for kids, comicbooks should be fun". I guess thats kind of a thing in the US, but over here, those dark stuff was picked up by the most people...comicreaders here are at the ages of 25-40...young people do not read that much, its not a thing anymore... I hope we will get some dark books, maybe with the dark line integrated into the Vertigo line up...but I think it was the wrong move for DC to water down their core feeling, because after they did that, the whole line broke in sales back to the pre52 time. With very bad sales numbers. When the comics comunity says, they have to diversify and make more fun books, but noboby is buying them, then there is something wrong with this demand. Geoff Johns got me really excited, that there is a bright future for good reads. As long as they put out great work it dosn't matter to me, if thats a male or female charakter or writer or artist. Quality should matter. In my eyes true equality is achieved, when talent matters and nothing else, everyone should have the euqal opportinity, but nobady should be picked by gender or any other arbitrary reason. sorry for my bad english as usual

I love the dark books as well, as was very sad to see them leave... Plus DC You was not a failure in my world, i bought more books because of it.. lastly, i would love to know the sales figures via the electronic platform!! as that is how i but my books as i do not have space for hard copies happy DC Rebirth!!

Not quite...the german hardcore readers have their monthly books from the US. I was all digital and now I am going back to physical comics with Rebirth and a monthly shipment. And there are very many Germans that prefer english books over translated. And the translated books are often mixed...because a 22 Page book wont sell here, we have double sized issues with to series in one issue...that was f.e. Justice League and Teen Titans...
I think the digital market is very unknown, but I bought massiv amount of books there and I guess I am not the only one. I liked the fresh books very much, but in print, they were a failure...Dr. Fate, Omega Men, etc. I loved those books, but when I look at the Comicsales, they are pretty bad.
With putting the focus on the core books and putting the quality in that books, I think it is the right way. Plus with double shipping, you can better move forward.
When you read DC digital, you wait 2 month for a pricedrop...with double shipping I get every 2 weeks my favorite book...thats pretty cool. And that two artists alternating can work, do we know of other books.
They said comminication is key and that they have to intensive that...which is again good for the book.
I am very excited and hope, there is a bright DC future for us, because I love the universe and the stories so much.

This marks the first time ever that I am more excited for a Wonder Woman book than Batman.
I am looking forward to some others but marvel still has, for me, a much better value fornthe buck because I get an extra copy of the book that I can give away.

Definitely excited for Wonder Woman, I like Rucka's idea of having the odd and even numbered issues having their own separate stories.

My definites are Blue Beetle and Red Hood and the Outlaws. The return of Ted Kord alone was worth Rebirth for me. Other than that I will likely pick up trades for some other series (WW). I'm more of a trade guy nowadays so this isn't a slight to that title or any other as well think they have some cool stuff coming.
I usually only buy singles now for issues I think need the sales to stay afloat.

I am really excited for birds of prey, batman team book, Superwoman, Supergirl, Green Lanterns, and Trinity. I will continue to pick up Wonder Woman(especially with a good writer), Harley Quinn, Batgirl, and Cyborg. I will consider Super Sons and always think I should get into red hood and the outlaws since I always hear it is a fun book.
