I'm similar on Jeff Lemire's stuff but just in case you find it lying in front of you sometime Bob, take a look at his recent Moon Knight - I thought it was absolutely fantastic, a complete head-mangling eye-popping experience. Normally he leaves me pretty meh... but Moon Knight was possibly my favorite book of last year, can't recommend it enough.

I find myself going through a little mini Top-10 or Top-5 depending on the week every Wednesday and I only realized due to this thread that those titles I dropped tended to be read either 1st or 2nd 3 or 4 months in a row.
I was totally unaware I was following a little mental scoring / elimination process by reading order every week, I'm kind of fascinated by it all now!

I save the best till last most times, however certain story line climaxes are too much for me & I just have to read a final arc issue immediately - It's the highest praise I can give any comic

You may have already tried this but when I get the same issue I unsubscribed & removed the podcast, then re-subscribed and it seemed to sort the issue - worth a try if you haven't already done it.

Welcome to the forums Karl, that's some pull-list... you will be challenging Mara if you keep that up! Did make me chuckle "even the early eps with Bobby and Stephanie", damn that doesn't seem that long ago to me

Definitely a loss to the show but a gain for the world in general.
Most notably for me was the volume, depth and variety of her reading was very much appreciated. I always feel the show is at its best when the team is challenging you to try new books from different genre's, Mara brought a passion & knowledge of manga which was really impressive.
Keep pushing the gems hidden away in previews & the show will remain true to its heart.
To Mara all the very best and a genuine thank you for having the courage to step up when needed & keep this wagon rolling. Looking forward to see where TC goes now in the capable hands of Cap'n Steve or is that Pirate... [never miss a chance for a Dodgeball reference, it's the Law]

I'm really enjoying it, for me its exactly the kind of Superman stories I want to see, beyond fantastic situations and even multiple earths - it's been one of my surprise Rebirth books that I have stuck with.

Bob, I think Joey needs to work on his enthusiasm & passions as it just doesn't come across on the show
I think there were so many good books in 2016 that it was very hard to get down to even a Top 10. Jeff Lemire though just for Moon Knight got my vote it is one of my favorite things from 2016.
Artists was an impossible task as you can add probably another 20+ names and still would leave someone out - Some truly spectacular comics being produced right now.
Great time to be a fan of the funny books!

2016 for me was all about the climax to The Wicked + Divine it was one of only a couple of books that every month I couldn't wait for - so Team Joey on that book 100%

I'm with all you guys: Flash I jumped back onto and was glad I did really enjoying the character again + Wally-Flash is back & in Titans so I get that bonus monthly. Nightwing continues to be strongly written. Superman has become one of my favorites out of nowhere love the books.
So far Detective has been great fun & twisty in a good way but Batman has been pretty flat not as good as I hoped, I think Tom King is a great writer so I will keep backing him to find the right balance for this book. All Star Batman is great fun & looks like it will continue to go from strength to strength. DC has done a great job with Rebirth & I think it is still a work in progress to long-term bring back a lot of the history that fans love & miss.

Nice to actually hear an opinion from someone of that race rather than every talking for them for a change, the man makes a great point.

I suspect that the Netflix / Marvel momentum will be enough to pull this through yielding all the right viewing numbers. I think the negativity being raised is the usual internet based vocal section but the reality is (for me) that the numbers viewing these adaptations are more heavily biased towards people who have not read a comic in decades or at all.
I'm all for trying to find opportunities to add diversity whenever possible but as people have raised in the past - if it is a character you love & have followed for years if they make a major change in terms of origin / nationality / age it does leave a sour taste in the mouth. And as a very wise Bob once said on the cast "It might not be your favorite character but it doesn't mean it isn't someone else's".
I personally don't have that link to Iron Fist I haven't read much of him at all so I wait excitedly for the series still feeding off the high of Luke Cage.

5 episodes in & I am loving this show, I think you nailed it - its different in tone, has it's own unique voice but the production quality etc are familiar as Netflix's continues to nail it for me.
Rightly or wrongly I am finding this the most fun Netflix show even though it is dealing with some dark and damn serious issues it is keeping a tone which is pitch perfect for my enjoyment.
