Damn this looks amazing! Of the 3 change ups (Fem-Thor, Falc-Cap and Superior IM) this is the book I'm most excited for. I hope they have a nice long story line planned out and we don't return to regular Thor for a good while. I loved Superior Spider-Man and feel that ended far too soon.

This book is fantastic! As much attention as people have given to the new Thor, the story Thor Odinson is heartbreaking. I had so many feels reading the above panels. The stuff between Odin and Freya was great. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. This volume is starting off just as amazing as the last.

I'm placing a wild bet on the board. A time traveling version of Freyja is the female Thor.

such a great story. it's crazy how well they are handling these big changes. Dauterman is so good.

I'm placing a wild bet on the board. A time traveling version of Freyja is the female Thor. that... i like. Freyja is the best candidate. But just straight Freyja simple as that... too easy. Yhr time traveling idea is awesome

This has gotten me to start buying Thor again after a full 20 year break (no exaggeration). Magnificent stuff.

#2 was just terrific stuff. WHO IS IT?!?!?! Right? I've been wracking my brain about it for a couple of days, and I still have absolutely no idea. The clues dropped in the inner-monologue in this issue certainly helped cross a bunch of potential names off of my list, but ultimately it's left me more baffled than ever, as all of my best guesses from the last few months have been pretty thoroughly disproved, by this point. It sure is fun though, isn't it; both the issue and the mystery! I don't think i've been this cognitively-invested in a pop culture whodunnit since the great Who Shot Mr Burns caper of the summer of '95. Also, even though this is infinitely better in both writing and art, I couldn't help but think of the first few issues of Eric Masterson wielding the hammer when I was reading the inner dialogue bits. Which is not necessarily an insult, because I certainly have some modicum of sentimental affection for that stuff. The "Oh! So THIS is how you fly/THIS is what it feels like to be Thor! Fun!!" stuff is nearly identical. Anyways, it was definitely in the back of my head while I was reading this issue.

Who Shot Mr Burns? Now that brings back memories.
Thanks for the link, Cap.
