I feel you Lenny the podcast is the closest I seem to get to chatting about comics. Sometimes find myself talking at the crew even thought they can't hear me lol.

Hehe I haven't done that yet, Luciano. Muchly appreciate the show for recommendations, news, etc; but it's also compelling. No easy thing for a podcast.

I've dropped lucky in that I recently moved City from York to Manchester, started a new job and first day found one of my fellow noobs walking into the same comics shop I was, he was jealous when I got to hit up the sales today and he couldn't afford to go. |

How I got into comics: One day at a fair I won a bag full of phantom comics and my interests grew from there as it always does into more tights and capes and eventually into science fiction and anything weird.
What I'm reading: Too much! But a few of my current favourites are Thor God of Thunder, Black Science, Indestructible Hulk and anything by Matt Fraction.
Prized geek possession: My whole collection!

Hi guys, my names Paul, like a bunch of you I'm from England as well, Liverpool. It's great to see so many comics fans from this side of the pond and from around the globe too. I'm glad Talkingcomicbooks has a forum at last, I think the site update looks awesome too. I've been a fan of the podcast and an occasional poster for a while now, I think my first podcast was the Jeff Lemire interview or around there. I started out with the Christopher Reeves Superman movies, by chance I saw a comic book on a rack at a local shop with Superman and some other guy on the cover - The Flash #53 back 1991. It blew my 8 year old brain, this guy was racing and beating Superman - I've been collecting The Flash (and way too many others) ever since. Right now I'm re-reading Lucifer #1-75 and I am up to the 7th Hellboy trade. I read those big B.P.R.D. HC's first so its weird backtracking to the Hellboy comics but its really filling in the blanks. From the current side of things top of my stack month to month are titles like Prophet, Guardian of the Galaxy, Fables, Baltimore and so on, and on. My precious is probably my comics to be honest, runs like Y: the last man and Sandman and stuff are priceless to me! I look forward to talking comic books with you guys. |

Where I'm from: Oakville, Canada
How I got into comics: When I was much younger I read a box of my dad's Spider-Man comics during a lazy summer, but never took it beyond that once I finished them. Flash forward to Sept.2011 and the New 52 was what motivated me into going to the store.
What I'm reading: My DC-only pull list has grown to include many Image titles, and some Marvel.
Prized Geek Possession: Nothing really spectacular like I have seen others list, but I guess I'll go with my statues (Batman Black and White, Bombshell Harley Quinn.
It's also great to see another Smodco listener in Jon. I find those are even rarer to find than another comic enthusiast where I am.

Love smodcasts, TC and Fatman on Batman are my essential shows. Was funny when Bobby was on a panel with Kevin smith, it was like a crossover event!!

How I Got Into Comics: My dad self publishes so from as long as I can remember comics have been a part of my life. I've been a huge batman fan my whole life.
What I'm Reading: probably too much... Batman, Forever Evil, East Of West, Saga, Hellboy, Trillium, just read Daytripper, The Walking Dead, Rachel Rising, Coffin Hill, and way too much more.

How I got into comics: Star Wars got me into reading comics, then GI Joe and Transformers. It wasn't long before I discovered the X-Men and the rest was history.
What I'm reading: I just finished Vol 1 of Alan Moore's Swamp Thing and Blackest Night (aw yeah ComiXology sale)
Prized Geek Possession: I don't know if it's prized, but before kids and families the last major geek purchase I made was back in 2000, I bought a replica pair of authentic Oakley Scott Summers X-Men sunglasses from the movie.
