Hey Steph Just listened to the podcast and it was good to hear you return to the show(after being FIRED!!! ) But anyway, i heard something about your pet being sick and i was just wondering if he/she is feeling any better?(if you don't mind talking about it) As a pet owner myself i know how much it can suck if anything is wrong with one of them. Hey! Thanks so much. It was AMAZING to be back, I missed the guys and the show a lot. Unfortunately Kaylee was super sick and I was royally freaked out. It turns out that she has a digestion problem that can lead to severe constipation and it made her really sick. Sorry if that's all TMI. She had to have a minor procedure done to fix some of it and now she's on a prescribed wet food diet (which she is SO pleased about since wet food has only been a treat for her prior). I'm really happy she's all better and it was something that we could work with as she's my fur baby! They were worried it might be pancreatitis but thankfully that wasn't the case. PHEW! Oh wow, sounds like it was pretty bad. I can imagine it must be a huge relief that they could do something about it and that she's feeling better. Let's hope it stays that way.

Everything seems a-ok since she's been on her new diet! Thanks so much for asking about it.

Hey Steph, I just saw your review of Faction 1 on the site and being from NZ myself I just want to say something, on their website www.factioncomics.co.nz/ they both sell the comic in print internationally and offer digital versions of the anthology for free!

Hey, I went by the Silver Snail while I was in Toronto and asked if they knew about your podcast and the lady behind the counter had no clue. For some reason I thought they would. I was able to snag some sweet back issues of Manhunter. It's a tight squeeze in that store, but it seems like a nice place to hang on the coffee side. Overall, I loved Toronto. Ate at the CN Tower, visited the Steam Whistle Brewery, Chinatown, Little Italy (very little!), Greektown, Canada's Wonderland, Niagra Falls, etc I will say the Toronto suburbs stretch on forever and appear fairly soulless, much like American ones.

Ha, they do actually almost all know about me and my podcast. They hired two new girls a couple weeks ago though and they haven't had a chance to get to know me since I've bee hermiting at home. Yeah, our suburbs are a bit ridiculous but the downtown area is pretty great, in my opinion. Niagara is beautiful too! How did you visit for?

We were there about a week for vacation. It was pretty good, and only rained one day. For some reason I thought it was rainier.

Just wanted to throw some more Toronto love out there. My wife lived in Toronto for 9 years, well, really Richmond Hill. She lived and worked at L'Arche Daybreak, a community where folks with intellectual/developmental disabilities live in community with folks that take care of them. There's a similar community in downtown Toronto too. Anyway, she's taken me to visit a few times now and I love the city, especially the Queen Street area by Lake Ontario. I love Tim Hortons, but it was fun going to some local places like this White Squirrel Coffee Shop next to Bellwoods park. We'll definitely be coming back and I'm hoping to catch a Toronto FC game.
And, just to let you know, my 2-year-old daughter is a huge fan of yours because when we listen to the podcast in the car, she squeals when she hears your voice and says "Ste-phawn-ie"!

Big fan of the show since I started listening a few months ago (it's now one of my favorite podcasts), and was wondering, would Talking Comics collaborate with other geek-type podcasts? I ask as I'm also a fan of a website called oneofus.net which also puts out geek culture-based podcasts, and I think it'd be super awesome to hear a collaboration between you guys. I'm not trying to get you guys to collaborate with them on behalf of them or anything, by the way, just being a bit of a fan. Also, I think with both websites being smaller but up-and-coming sites, a collaboration could be good for everyone.

That's so awesome! I've been up that way a few times. Are you guys in Canada still or elsewhere? Queen St is one of my favourite areas as well! Trinity Bellwoods is AMAZING... I often walk from Yonge St all the way there because I love people watching and passing by all of the stores in that area. Queen St East is great too with the boardwalk and all that. I've been wanting to go to a Toronto FC game for ages, but the tickets are always sold out. It seems that you need to be good friends with season pass holders... grrr! And your comment about your daughter being a huge fan MADE MY DAY. Honestly. That is the best thing ever. Thank you SO much for sharing and being awesome. If you email me your address, I'll send her one of the Lunge prints I have up for grabs

We have a few things in mind, but it's always a matter of scheduling and trying to get that sort of stuff set up. We're always open to suggestions anytime too!

Hey Steph, wanted to recommend a book that came out this week. The book is by Dan Abnett and it was released by BOOM Studios. To simply put it, the book is epic and magical.
