Final Issue - #12 - announced I'm really enjoying this series too. Damned shame. Soule was clearly having fun exercising this muscle and Pulido's art is great. Even the fill-in artist - which is a little watered down - is a nice detour.

Even the fill-in artist - which is a little watered down - is a nice detour. The solicit text suggest the series is most likely getting a soft reboot. "FINAL ISSUE! The end of the Blue File...and the end of an era! But when one door closes, another one opens, and Jen finds herself face to face with her most important case yet."

let's hope, it's certainly possible now that he's with them that they're going to relaunch it big

The extremely strange (that's as polite a euphemism as I can manage) Wimberly guest art on 5 and 6 couldn't have helped any. Nonetheless, this makes me very sad; it felt like it was really starting to find its stride. And the first trade just came out, didn't it? I guess they're not waiting to see how that sells? That makes me even more sad.

I have to be honest I really tried to love this book. The art just wasn't for me. I dropped off at #3.

Well gang,
It looks like "The Curse" has struck again!
(I do remain hopeful for a re-launching, but...)

I am sad. This book is good. Why would Marvel do this to me? I'd rather have Soule working on this then a weekly Wolverines series that doesn't even feature Wolverine. To not even wait for TBP sales before canceling seems odd. Absoultely baffled by this decision, folks..

Man that sucks.
This is one of my favourite series right now, Soule's writing on this book is excellent.I don't like it as much as the Dan Slott run, but i always enjoy reading it(yes, even with the Wimberly art) But even though this news sucks i can definitely see it returning soon.Hopefully with the same writer but better art.

The print run for the TPB was not high. THey didn't get the orders on it to merit it continuing in this run. Maybe they'll relaunch it now that Soule is higher-profile. FWIW, it had less than half the TPB sales of Superior Foes of Spider-man Vol #1, thus why that lasted longer.

If so, wouldn't you(Marvel) wait more than a week, say at least a month or two before outright determining nobody wants to buy it. I used to come from the Barnes and Noble casual crowd that doesn't even know when things are released, so my guess is that there a lot of people that are interested that just haven't gotten around to buying it yet -- time wise or money wise (like me). Again, if your talking about LCS orders rather than actual sales you've got me, as I don't know anything about that part of the business.

Again, if your talking about LCS orders rather than actual sales you've got me, as I don't know anything about that part of the business. My thoughts, exactly. Hardly been given time to see how many are going to sell. I haven't even bought my copy yet because i'm waiting for my shop's Halloween trade-sale (I love the story and the writing to death, but the art knocked it into the trade-wait category for me), and i'm someone who is on top of the releases, and hits his friendly local shop 2-3 times a week, and goes in and grabs an admittedly-modest (but consistent) stack every Wednesday. There's no way they've properly considered trade sales in this case. There are people who will pick it up on Black Friday, and people who will get it for x-mas for themselves or friends/family, people who are waiting for a payday, and a thousand other scenarios that have yet to play out. Hell, there are people who have simply been busy, or sick, or on vacation for the last two weeks and haven't yet had a shot to grab it. I'm sure the accountants have done projections and such, but that's hardly the same thing as giving it a chance.

They can't go off of sell-through for something that had an original print run of 3000 copies. If it had 7000 like Spider-Foes Vol 1, maybe. This is why pre-ordering matters so much. If you want to specifically support a title in order to help it survive, you have to pre-order.

In my personal opinion I imagine this series was only slated for a 12 issue arc, unless it blew up like a "Hawkeye". Marvel has shown several times that they are switching to a season style format for these types of series. Not to mention She-Hulk is going to have a larger role in Captain America and the Mighty Avengers series which will be starting soon.
