I have to admit that it was better than I thought it would be. Once I got into the story the character design didn't bother me hardly as much. Charles Soule has hooked me again, which makes me very optimistic for his Inhuman series!

I really enjoyed this first issue. I loved the fun tone, and Javier Pulido's art grew on me through the issue. As a lawyer myself, I can tell you that if I didn't get a bonus after billing 2800 hours, I'd go crazy too (thankfully I work at a non-profit so I actually have sane hours). And Jennifer's right, lawyering really is 90% conversation and 10% beating up robots, either proverbial or real.
I loved some of the little touches in the art, like one of the people in the background at the lawyer bar wearing a yamaka (I think kippa is the proper term?). Between this and Ms. Marvel, I am picking up a lot more Marvel books than I have been.

I liked it, I understand why some might not like the art but it didn't really bother me. I love the story, and with it being so silly and lighthearted the art seemed fitting. I agree that it does seem like a ripoff of Alred, but it didn't really ruin anything for me. I loved "legal", very funny.

The writing was great. I didn't care for the faces especially Jens. The forms and movement were spectacular. The emotion came through the body movements but every time I saw Jens face I was disappointed.
I don't mean to sound insensitive but with as many books as I have to choose from these days i have to love the art and the story or Ill just move on. I might pick up the next couple but im not real excited.

Ally McBeal with mussels? A green Boston Legal? A sassy female legal dramcom with superheroes in it? None of that sounds bad to me! I really enjoyed the lighthearted nature and tone of the first issue and can't wait for more.
Anyone else remember the Spiderman case from Slotts run? Spidey telling Jameson he knows he doesn't like him because he's black KILLED ME! Saw a new trade came out for it and would suggest it

That one panel where Spidey swings under She-Hulk's skirt to kick Scorpion is a masterpiece in my opinion.

I want to read some more She Hulk. What is the quintessential (holy crap spelled that right the first time no spell check) She Hulk Run?

I want to read some more She Hulk. What is the quintessential (holy crap spelled that right the first time no spell check) She Hulk Run? Philyd, I would say that the Dan Slott run is the one most like the new series, but for me, John Byrne did the definitive She-Hulk run in Sensational She-Hulk #1--#8 and #31--#50 in 1989 and then 1993-94! If you're interested in her history, The Missfits podcast that came out today went over it, and I wrote a piece for Talking Comics that you can find here: talkingcomicbooks.com/2014/02/08/the-sensational-she-hulk/

Dan Slott's run from back in 2004 is considered by most to be one of the better runs. I think it's 12 issues for vol.1

I actually re-read it, something I usually never do with a comic, and I still love it. I think maybe it's because I love lawyer comics/tv shows/movies/books but there's just something charming about this book.

I re-read it as well and that is something i do when i have a storyline or equivalent of a trade. But when i re-read it i was loading a video on my laptop which was connected to my TV so i read it on my TV via comixology
