Read Uncanny Inhumans 1 and it was ok. I probably won't continue as I'm more interested in the Crystal led All New Inhumans.
Just read am interview with David Walker about Powerman and Iron Fist and am really excited for that.

uncanny inhumans was incredible. I've read people say mcniven's art wasnt good....i couldn't possibly disagree more. i don't understand the hate towards it. Frankly i don't care, im loving it. Karnak, against all odds, was AMAZING.
uncanny picked up perfectly fron the 0 issue, people are acting like kang came out of nowhere. Simply read the 0 issue, it flows perfect. It's the best Mcniven art i have seen in a while.

It's the best Mcniven art i have seen in a while. I can see where people might say not good as an over-exaggeration of his art seeming to be less... stylized than it used to be. But bad? Yeah, that's a stretch. The guy is still very talented (just maybe past his "prime"). Overall I really enjoyed the issue.

Karnak was very good and I'm hoping it stays interesting. I've always thought he was a character that someone could really develop. All too often when you think of Karnaks ability to see the flaw in all things it was used to breaking something. I really like that Ellis is exploring the aspect of seeing the flaw in people, plans, ideas, etc. instead of just the flaw in material items.
Also liking Doctor Strange. So far I like the writing and the concepts presented. I'm hoping they will really explore the magical side of the marvel universe and I'm hoping the title makes use of a lot of other magical characters. One of the only highlights for me on the New Avengers series was the Doctor Strange story line. Never did find out how that ended as I quit the run around issue 15 or 16. The art is the one place I'm iffy on. I much prefer a crisp and clean style and while in this case it's not as awful as the last Iron Fist series i would still like it to firm up a bit.
I'm also hoping the new Hulk series is interesting. I've got a 13yr old who likes the Hulk so I'm thinking having a teenage Hulk could be fun. As long as it doesn't get too goofy or caught up in trying to make the writing too much like a teenager(if that makes sense) it should be good.
Was hoping the Shield Commandos series would be a period piece about the unit but when I flipped through it it just seemed off, mutant characters and the Duggan LMD nonsense. So nope on that one.
The only other thing I'm going to try is the new Daredevil written by Soule. I really like his stuff and have never read or collected a Daredevil series so we'll see how this goes.
Probably going to drop Black Widow. I stuck around with the last series till the end but really it started to become s slog. I'm kind of tired of books taking 15-20 issues to roll through a story line. Plus to be honest I just don't find her character all that interesting. Now if someone could write a Widow book in the style of Velvet(Image title by Brubaker) then that would get my attention.
Thoughts, questions, comments?

Agreed raider about the last black widow series!!!!!! Edmonson has a habit of putting the least amount of words possible in his books. Especially his BW series. It had rushed, average Phil Noto art (If you want proof, look at any other series by him, he can be incredible) and literally went nowhere. The content could have been cut down to a THIRD of the amount of issues.
Modern comics are beginning to take a tole on me. EVERYTHING i read from marvel takes 6 issues to find its footing... Im sorry but that is not acceptable to me anymore. I blow through my pile of marvel books, and literally sit there wondering why i even do this anymore. Remember the days when an issue would take 30 mins to read? Im tired of hearing people complain about "wordy" comics...... those people i can't stand. Those people, are the reason why we get these books that take 3 minutes to read.

just finished extraordinary x-men and have mixed feelings. I loved the art, the story seems to have a lot of potential, but it frequently calls back to events that either haven't happened yet (since secret wars isn't over) or that happened in some x-series I haven't read. I like a #1 to raise some questions, but the way this one played out it felt like it was assuming I knew a bunch of things that I didn't (something about cyclops, something about terrigen mists, somehow old man logan is involved and several other plot points). kind of like a heavier-handed version if what went on in spider man 2099 #1...

So far of the ANAD Marvel I've read;
Invincible Iron Man #1-3 Favorite book so far. Always liked Bendis' take on Tony and the art....my lord the art......
Doctor Strange #1-2 Interesting read and I love Bachalo's art.
Karnack #1 Typical cool Ellis first issue. Reminds me of Moonknight though once Ellis is done not sure I'll stick with it.
Extraordinary X-Men #1 Pretty disappointed by this sadly. I'm primarily an x-fan so had high hopes for this and while the art was nice the story felt very 'all done before' to me. Feels like a rehash of M-Day with Inhumans thrown into the mix.

I think they may have killed my interest in getting spider man 2099 in singles. Just read issue #2 and while I like the idea of Miguel out for vengeance, the art is awful and the new costume is basically just an uglier iron man suit (he has rocket boots, heat vision and can shoot discs for some reason!). The need to kick Sliney to the curb and bring Leonardi back on (or I would love to have Amy Reeder on this book). I think i'm going to get into my long box and dig up my original 1992 books and read those.
now that I'm thinking about it though, I may just be spoiled. All the other books I am currently reading have art by Nguyen, Sejic, Murphy, Keith, Scalera...

Hopefully, like they should have done with moon knight..... they "cancel" karnak when ellis is done his run. It should be a mini
With marvel's mistreatment of the mutants, they are just testing my patience! The xmen will always be my favorite fictional world and family. Im not digging this situation at all. I LOVE the inhumans, always have. After all, they were uncanny before the xmen were. But i wish that marvel didnt force the mutants out, and shoe horn the inhumans in their spot. I wish we could have both, in prominence.

The X-Men still have 7 books and play prominent roles in other books such as Uncanny Avengers

Im talking about the roles they play, and they whole poisoning situation. Im fully aware at the number of titles, that doesn't mean that they are not being mis-treated. That is an obvious thing. I do not like the roles they are playing, it's fine if you do... i do not. I am liking all new wolvey tho, im in for that.

For me All-New All Different Marvel is marking the end of printed monthly books from Marvel for me.
It was not an easy choice, but one, that for me was the logical one.
There are a few reasons for this, but before I go into them there are a few quick facts to be aware of first:
Im a fan of comic books and stories, ill follow creators and characters, I've never been a publisher follower, I like to think that I support the industry as a whole. I have a budget, I have a budget because i’m an idiot and if left with no plan on a Wednesday ill buy way, way to much.
So why now? Well, for me the attraction of Marvel has always been the universe as a whole. I love the character stories, they are the foundation stone and the gateway into the universe at large. For me this is the attraction, how all the small parts come together to make the larger whole. At the start of Marvel Now I was reading 15-16 Marvel titles each month and this, for me, gave me the experience that I was after and I loved it. Then All-New Marvel Now came along. My initial thought’s were, why? did we not just do this? However I had loved Marvel Now, I understand the dire need to attract and keep new readers and above all I understand the need to generate money, its a business after all so i stuck with it. However the Amazing Spider-Man point 1’s started to bug me. Its a title on my pull list so you get them, but they didn't seem at add anything essential for me. Yes they were nice stories but did I actually need them? Then the spin offs started. This started to annoy me. I buy enough books Marvel, if I wanted to buy x or y I would be already. It started to feel to me that I was being squeezed by Marvel for ever $ I had and this made me feel like Marvel was taking advantage of my fandom, they knew that xx% would pick these cross over books up and make them money. Then all of a sudden all Marvel books are $3.99.
As I said above I'm a comic fan and I’m now at the point with the launch of All-New All Different Marvel, particularly with the launch of the $4.99 and $5.99 books that I will say good bye. I don't feel I will have the money to be able to achieve the experience that I would want from Marvel at this stage, while being able to support the other publishers. I mean just to know what is going on in the X-Men part of the Marvel U you would need to buy 3-4 of the 7 books and thats before the multitude of Avengers books and then Guardian of the Galaxy books and then the solo books. I get that why Marvel is doing this, its looks to me as a solid strategy for the delivery of value to its share holders, however I would question the strategy of this practice for the larger comic book world. Comic books have been excellent when both Marvel and DC are both on top form with creators delivering new and exciting takes on characters and situations and we don't have that right now. I know that the Jan -16 and Feb 16 numbers will be a bit less scary for DC but I cant image the latest set at pleasant reading for Dan and Jim.
So for me that is why monthly print books from Marvel are gone and Ive gotten a Marvel Unlimited subscription. For me it makes sense. Yes I'm 6 months behind, but do I care? No, i don’t, not when I have access to A. Damm near everything that they have ever published and B. Everything that will be coming out now will be on their in 6 months, I can read it all if I want. When I add up what I would of spent in the first 4 months of All-New All- Different Marvel now I have paid for the Unlimited service. I am sad about this as I am a paper man. I don't don't e books etc and I don't want paper to go the way of the dinosaur but too many books at too high a price and it would appear that the digital solution would be the best one for me.
