Hello! Been a fan of the podcast for just around 2 years. I even went back and listened to the old DC new 52 episodes because I can't get enough. I must say that I got a little emotional when Bobby left the show however the team has not missed a beat and you've all become a BIG part of my world. Keep up the good work! Name: Britt Where I'm From: Westchester, NY (HOME OF XAVIER'S SCHOOL FOR THE GIFTED!!!) How I Got Into Comics: My cousin collected Image Comics in the 90s (for collectors items/resale) so I followed suit but was never truly a fan until the MCU movies What I'm Reading: ALL RECOMMENDATION FROM THE PODCAST (AND LOVING THEM!!!) including: Tokyo Ghost, Seconds, Marvel 1602, Ms Marvel, Y The Last Man Prized Geek Possession: Still searching Britt, Welcome to the Forum! One thing; any recommendation of mine is likely to have a short run, as it seems "The Curse" has returned, what with Squadron Supreme and Scarlet Witch having been put out to pasture. This could be easier on your wallet, though. We were all very emotional when Bobby left, too! The thing of it is, he is still a huge part of what we do, as we continue to hew to his idea of trying to be a safe home for every fan, and whilst never shying away from "big issues", discussing them in a way that advances the conversation. ps) From your handle, I would have thought you lived in Atillan, but that's just me. rrr

Troy,
These Forums have led to so many people(especially me!) expanding their comfort zones!
Once I read one issue of Death Vigil, I knew that I had to see more of Mr. Sejic's work, and with so much praise for Sunstone, it seemed the way to go!
When I met Linda & Stjepan during NYCC week, they remembered both his Missfits appearance and the Missfits Book Club episode, with him saying that "We got it!" in terms of the underlying metaphors, and so they were more-than-happy to make a joint visit to chat with us. For me, I think it was one of our best guest spots, just filled with great information, and very entertaining to boot!

I'm already putting together my Sunstone Vol 5 campaign for 2017. Troy, It's already on my list, too...and I suspect Dr. Mara's, as well!

Troy, Thanks so much for the "Thumbs up!", it's much appreciated, particularly coming from, if memory serves, one of the people from here on our Forum whose championing had me checking out Mr. Sejic's work on Sunstone from the beginning! Your point about feeling concerned about the ending even when you know the outcome shows how wonderful the writing on this series has been. You're certainly not alone in those emotions, as I felt them, too, and as Stjepan and Linda pointed out in our interview with them, many people come up to him at shows pleading with him to say that things will turn out alright for Ally & Lisa!

Thanks Bob, the Supergirl book is a bit pricey at the moment on Comixology, but i'll definitely check it out when it gets cheaper. I have already read some of the Civil War tie-in issues of Power Man and Iron Fist and Ms Marvel on Marvel Unlimited today, and they are pretty good.I've also started reading Mockingbird and the Spider-Women event on MU, got to read as much as i can before my MU yearly subscription expires at the end of this month(not gonna renew because again...money reasons...) Dave, I'm sure that the collected Supergirl: Being Super will be a better bargain than the singles, so just jhang in there, the wait will be worth it! Best of luck with your comic buying situation--here's hoping that it improves!

Bob, I think Joey needs to work on his enthusiasm & passions as it just doesn't come across on the show
I think there were so many good books in 2016 that it was very hard to get down to even a Top 10. Jeff Lemire though just for Moon Knight got my vote it is one of my favorite things from 2016.
Artists was an impossible task as you can add probably another 20+ names and still would leave someone out - Some truly spectacular comics being produced right now.
Great time to be a fan of the funny books! Simon, It's a shame that Joey doesn't show his emotions about things, isn't it? There are some great books out there, all worth the time going through the Previews each month!

Dave,
Welcome back!
As with many of the "fringe-ier" titles, G. Willow Wilson's Ms. Marvel found a way to illuminate the issues in "CW II" by making them feel personal; same for The Ultimates and Power Man/Iron Fist, and I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying that one!
As a Joelle Jones fan, check out the new Supergirl: Being Super, that features her fabulous art in a coming-of-age story for Kara written by the acclaimed Mariko Tamaki!

Simon,
Joey tried very hard to get Wicked and the Divine on "The List", but there were a lot of great books out this year.
Here's the thing, though; just from his passion over the months, so many people have tried--and--loved--W&D, that the book is winner!

Matt, Someone has to do them, right? I'm looking forward to that show myself! There's so much about the Extended Universe that I don't know, so who better than the Good Doctor and the Erudite Professor to teach me! That pun was right there for the taking. Matt, I'm a sucker for low-hanging fruit, what can i say?

Bob, I'm shaking my head in disgust at that pun! I will see what the good doctor has to say on the star wars podcast that you'll promised! Matt, Someone has to do them, right? I'm looking forward to that show myself! There's so much about the Extended Universe that I don't know, so who better than the Good Doctor and the Erudite Professor to teach me!

Matt,
It wouldn't have taken much in the way of running time to bring those characters a "reel" life; perhaps in the extended edition?

Jonathan.
For me, Sanford Greene's art has a great mixture of cartoon-y and gritty that serves the story beautifully, but as always, the appreciation of any artistic style is completely subjective.
That said, I think that you'll dig PM/IF!
