It seems kind of wierd, I got the impression the two justice league movies weren't seperate but continuous continiuity Maybe filmed together. Suicide Squad is a little strange. And most importantly of all what if The Flash is a huge hit and is like the number 1 show on TV then they have a movie with a different guy. I dunno, DC seems to be handling their TV universe well (minus gothem) but their cinematic universe seems a bit on the haphazzard side.

I checked through the link I provided and noticed the two are Justice League PART 1 and Justice League PART 2
so they're doing a Twilight/Hunger Games/Harry Potter thingy by breaking it up

That schedule seems to have no rhyme or reason to it, whatsoever. Two JL movies (Part 1 & Part 2, but two years apart?), and THEN Cyborg and Lantern? Totally separating their TV and movie universes (which i've been scratching my head over for months), but then putting out a Flash movie with who-knows-what personnel? If they port the people from the show into the movie, that would be very strange, 'cause from what i've seen of the show it's very much a small-screen quality joint, actors included, with a definite ceiling on it, and not something you'd stake a couple hundred million on in the theater, and if they stick to their word and the two universes are indeed separate and they recast it for cinema, that'd be even weirder.
It would seem that at this point they're throwing darts at the wall and hoping for the best. Bizarre stuff.

More information has been released although I'm not sure how accurate. But its that most of these characters will make a small appearance in BvS, the World Engine in the ocean will be what brings Aquaman, Braniac is slated as the villain for JLA Part 1 with Green Lantern showing up and warning them of Darkseid for JLA Part 2.
I think the best part of all this is should it be true is that there will be introductions to the characters who will also get a chance to shine in their own solo films and that its all connected.
Also Margot Robbie eyed for Suicide Squad? Her as Harley Quinn would be INCREDIBLE!
Its an amazing time to be a DC fan.

Yeah I am excited about all the new films. Really exciting time for DC films right now. Just listened to this weeks podcast and I guess the majority of the crew disagrees though. I'm gonna start tuning out when DC films come up as I know whats gonna be said and it won't be good lol.

When I first saw this, I thought the Justice League movie, was a one movie split in two deal... but based on comments by Jason Mammoa, which were vague at best, it could be two separate flicks (please one be Rock of Ages). The only thing I find overly Jarring is the Suicide Squad... which just seems overall out of place. Other than that, I'm in. I hope this will give Marvel some competition and just make both companies better Slightly off-topic... anyone else think the movie verse maybe in the same continuity as the TV Verse... just Earth Prime vs Earth 2? That would be sick!

Also with Suicide Squad, it does seem strange it being third out the gate of this DC franchise, but that being said, Harley Quinn is HUGE; comics, games, cosplay. And having Margot Robbie play her is a sure thing. Add that to the fact that Deadshot and Deathstroke are also huge names now because of the games and Arrow, David Ayer being the director, I'd say this is a sure thing. Especially if, like they are saying, they get A-list names for the cast.

I'm probably the only guy in his mid-twenties that doesn't like Harley Quinn though, which is probably why I was so struck by this one.

I know the biggest problem most people have with the DC movies (movIE) so far is the tone. And thats just taste.
But I'm hearing a lot of comparisons to the MCU and how WB is playing catch-up and so on.
Am I the only one who thinks thats both stupid and unfair?
Personally, and from what seems to be happening, the DC movies will be their own thing. As cohesive and tonally similar and successfully interconnected as the MCU is, it would be nice to go into a superhero movie for a change and not have to sit into the mid credits and then wait another 3 years for the story to continue. I like closure in movies.
And the Marvel method of filmmaking seems very similar to the comics; all solo stories that lead into an event.
DC are usually solo stories that end, and then an unrelated event. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn etc didn't connect to Convergence or even Forever Evil. Yet not even Ultimate Spider-man can avoid Secret Wars.
I love the idea of seeing Man of Steel and BvS, both tonally similar, and then getting Suicide Squad which will be crazy and Shazam which will no doubt be different. And Wonder Woman and so on. All their own thing. And then a JLA movie that brings them together for an event type story.
I don't know. Just a thought. I'd prefer both companies on screen with completely different tones and goals then a carbon copy.
