How is no one talking about the season 3 premier? Did folks not have a chance to watch it yet?
SPOILERS BELOW
What the hell! They fridged Black Canary so...what? Oliver will get (more) vengeance-y. So Laurel can take up yhe mantle? Bets on how long before that happens? Blerg.
Otherwise a good start to the new season. I liked the introduction of Ray Palmer and am curious to see what shook down in HK.

They did enough in this episode to keep me interested... but Black Canary was one of my favorite characters... Was the purpose of this episode, "no more love interests?" I'm ok with that... but this reminded me of the end of Serenity...

It blows me away that people watch this show. It's such an insufferable soap opera; it's Days of Our Lives but slower, more brood-y, and with more pleather.

Vinnie Jones cast as Brick!
I love this show. But now I will, with complete bias, love it forever.

You say it like it is a bad thing! People love soap opears for a reason. And this one has a dude in a hood getting vengeance-y! With arrows! Listen, i won't sit hear and say that it is great television - 'cause often it can be rather far from it - but it has gotten good and definitely has been entertaining. Not for you? That's cool. You can go watch what you want to watch. Oh. And I am still superpissed about Sarah. Even moreso after the second episode. I found her death really affecting & they better do something good with this plot.

I know a lot of people were the same as me when this show started: Had no interest, didn't like the first few episodes, grew to love it.
But with the mid-season break coming up I realised holy crap its been 3 years since this show started. So I popped on my bluray of season one and started again.
I super crazy highly highly recommend it to anyone who loves this show but remembers not enjoying the first few epsiodes. They are good. And I think most of that comes from the fact that there are so many things foreshadowed that we had no clue about so there's more weight behind it. But I watched the PIlot episode and was more captivated than when I first watched it. Definitely recommend it to anybody who hasn't revisited it yet.

So..."The Climb"...that sure was some ending, eh? what. the. hell. One of the best finales ever, and it was only mid season. There's something about a fight scene without any backing score, just silence. Makes it way more intense. 1 things I'm super excited about is where this will go and another thing nobody seems to have noticed from previous episodes from what they've said, Roy will be taking the limelight for a couple episodes. So Ollie will be missing for a while. Stephen Amell posted a picture eof him and Robbie Amell filming with a quote "But how?" so a long haired Ollie will be with a current Firestorm. As soon as the mid-season finale ended I re-read Kevin Smith's run on GA. The whole start of that is about Ollie coming back from the dead. And there is a full paged spread of a long haired, bearded, tattered Green Arrow in an alleyway after coming back. I'd love to see that. Second thing was the fact that last season was an entire episode where the flashback was prior to Ollie getting shipwrecked, a girl he was with getting pregnant and Moira covering it up and paying the girl off. Obviously a set-up for Connor Hawke. Then in the Flash crossove episoder, he has an awkward run in with this girl in the coffee shop, and she is later on the phone talking to her son. So they are obviously leading to him having a son. I think the fact that the time period of the flashback isn't specified could put it a good few years before the shipwreck. Say 5 years, add another 5 years on the island, plus 3 years since. They could easily bring in a teenage Connor Hawke into season 4 or 5. The guys behind this show must have so much fun setting up Green Arrow comic history in this[\spoiler]

Anyone has any thoughts on Laurel becoming the Black Canary. Do you think the writers of the show handled her well? Did they redeem her in your eyes?

Ally~ I think if anything, her path into becoming Black Canary has been very grounded rather than having her become an expert after a week in the job and I like that. I think this last episode did well into redeeming her by FINALLY getting her to spill the beans about Sara's death to her father.

I've really been getting bothered by the shows turn the last few episodes. It seems like it's turned into Oliver Knows Best. The female characters are treated poorly (basically just the ladies who try and prevent him from doing his guy stuff) and diggle and arsenal are after-thoughts. I guess what I'm saying is, is it too late to just re-name the show The Atom and have a show starring falicity and ray?

Well maybe it is too late but apparently there's this: www.comicbookresources.com/article/flash-arrow-spinoff-in-development-starring-routh-garber-lotz-and-miller
