We often hear the podcast team talk about a comic being the first thing they read because they love the series so much. But I tend to organise my reading pile with the comics I'm looking forward to most at the bottom, saving the best 'til last. What's your preference - starting with your favourite or ending with it?

For me, it all depends on what's out in a given week! For example, Waid's Daredevil will always be the first thing I read! Also, Fraction's Hawkeye.
So it's what I'm most excited about first and so forth! And also, event books always are the last books I read!

I have rotated over the years, but currently I read the best first, if there's anything left in the pile i don't feel like reading that gets put away, that's the first sign of me potentially dropping that title.
In the past I would read them in order least anticipated to most, but its a chore. It should just be fun, now I buy only the books I really want to read. (Although some of these are starting to get sidelined like Brian Woods X-Men but its a good way to filter titles out.)
Occasional issues of high expectation I will put to one side though, just to read when I feel the moment is right, for example I only just read Locke & Key Omega #2 on Wednesday. (And it was perfect I might add)

I seem to have developed a habit of reading the DC universe stuff first, followed by the Marvel books I'm reading, and the work my way through the Image, Vertigo, Dark Horse etc book that I read depending on what I'm looking forward to the most. Top of my non DC/Marvel pile this week was Manifest Destiny #3 .

I usually go for whatever I'm more excited about first and then work my way down on the excitement level as I read.....of course it gets complicated on weeks where there are great books coming out at the same time and then I go alphabetical with them.

I always save the best for last.

I like to mix it up a bit. Being a Batman fan I'll start with TDK or Batman and Robin, then spread the rest throughout the pile. I find it makes it less of a grind going through a pile of 20-30 issues (like my reading binge is usually likely to be) if I shuffle things about and keep the tone of the books varied. Kind of like the pickled ginger you have as a palette cleanser when eating sushi. Mmmmm, sushi

I save the comics for last that I'm most likely to prefer to read in chunks anyway. That way if I don't get to it, it's no big deal (I usually don't). For example, Trillum was always at the bottom of my pile, because I kind of figured that it would be better read in several issue chunks. Once I finally got to it, I realized how right I was.

I read books I review first then just whatever peaks my fancy depending on mood. Often read one publisher or character in one chunk though

Typically I put whatever I'm REALLY excited for at the top (daredevil), and then just go through the rest in alphabetical order.

Favorite first. Usually too excited to wait. If I save it I'll read the other books too fast and not really pay attention.

I usually just read books in whatever order I pulled them out of the bag in. The only comics that I generally tend to pull out and read first are Superior and Ultimate Spider-Man.

I usually save the best for last but I ALWAYS read Hickman stuff first because I know I can't go into his books with a tired brain.

I actually am kinda OCD about the way I read mine. I read them alphabetically within each publisher. I start with Image. I always read the issue from the prior week, and then read the current for all their books. Then I jump to DC, and then Marvel. I usually put in the codes from the Marvel books and then download them while I read the other books.
