I have just caught up on JL#32 and wanting to know what you all think.. after all there forever evil stuff, and the delays etc..
i am beginning to feel this book is not about the justice league anymore.. it is about every other team out there in the DC.. i like the doom patrol, and i understand trying to introduce them to kick start the book.. but am feeling like i am buying a book that does not feature the characters I buying the book for

I agree wholeheartedly, I stopped buying it during the last event. Mainly because I just don't care about Lex Luthor the way Geoff Johns is trying to make us all feel. Why not just give him his own ongoing so fans can still have that fix?

To be fair, books get re purposed/revamped/re-characterized all the time. Batman was Dick Grayson, but still in the book "Batman" Thor is now/becoming female, but the book remains "Thor." What it comes down to for me is, "do I like this book, and is it worth my $3.99?" Lately the last few issues of Justice League, have been some of my favorites.
It still feels like Justice League to me, but in a post-Forever Evil world. Things literally have been turned upside down, and it seems like there is both team deconstruction, and construction going on in tandem. There are loose ends all over the place, that still require being tied up after a nightmarish onslaught that nearly wiped out the entire Earth. Now would be the time to bring in other groups, as they would likely start to emerge, and backdoor piloting them in through the Justice League book is probably makes the most logical sense.
While the last few issues have been Justice League lite, they've been solid, and have brought us, Metal Men, Doom Patrol, and developed characters. We all know Luthor won't last, but if Captain Cold could stick around, I could get behind that. The status quo right now, seems that the Justice League is finding itself again. When the Anti-Monitor shows up, I'm pretty sure we'll have the full-steam ahead Justice League back in action, perhaps with a bigger roster or perhaps with a few groups of friends.
Also for fun here, what does everyone think the Justice League roster will look like at the end of the year?

So I was just reading back issues, mainly issues 18, 19 and 20, the three issues collected in Justice League vol 4, that aren't part of Trinity War and have a question. Do we know who the stranger that broke into the Batcave and gave the ring to Despero is?

I briefly thought it was the guy from Aquaman's team The Others, and it confused me a little.

Good guess, the Operator is one of the few people i guess that could have done it an not been a member of the bat family. as he has the atlantean relic. which i not really sure what it does, other then opens stuff 'the key'

Started re-reading Grant Morrison's run on JLA last night. Only read it once before and it was a long time ago so it all felt new and fresh again. But after the first 4 issue arc I was blown away by issue #5 about Tomorrow Woman. And after having loved Ex Machina, it was cool to read a nice short AI story. Such a great one off issue. Just read up on the character and apparently she was really well received and brought back in Hourman, I'll have to track down those issues.

The Grant Morrison JLA run is one my favorite in all of comics and still has one of my all time favorite Batman related lines:
After Batman has just taken down half their team with a box of matches:
Protex "He's just one man" Superman "The most dangerous man on earth!"
Awesomesauce.

Yeah he gave him some badass moments [becoming a electro-magnetic pole on the moon] but I think where he succeeded was he kept his character spot on, he still came across as a example of true heroism - when J'onn is fighting Asmodel and he is struggling to stand, can't remember what Superman says but it was spot-on in character.
