I grew up having such a facination with Greek Mythology and then just forgot about it for a while but recently have had an interest again. What is there in comics I should be reading? That being said, I really didn't enjoy Azzarello's WW run, as much as that is steeped in Greek myth.
Any adaptations of the famous stories like the Trojan War, Theseus and the Minotaur etc or different takes on characters from these? I've tried the general Google search but its not helping.

Kieron Gillen's Three, from the perspective of Spartan slaves, is very good, if not exactly mythological. I would be interested to see what recs come up, I was very into Greek myths as a kid.

Thanks, I'll give that a look. I just remembered there's another one called Marathon which is based on a true story I think, set in Sparta also. Really, really good.

It isn't an adaptation as far as I'm aware but there's Nathan Edmondson's Olympus.

Eric Shanower's Age of Bronze is a really enjoyable retelling of the Trojan War.
That's the only direct retelling of the Myths and Legends that springs to mind immediately, but I expect something else will come...

Based on the Amazon review I think I have no choice but to buy this: "Outstanding writing. above average pencils. distracting coloring. Writer Nathan Edmondson is a documented cat killer, but don't let that stop you from picking up this book. Edmondson is a skilled wordsmith. When writing, he fancies a classic typewriter; when euthanizing pets, he prefers a Honda CRV."
