I've been busy lately so just I just caught up on Cluster, really good.
Lantern City looks good, but sadly my shop was sold out. May just do the digital thing with that one.
When did Day Men come back? Completely missed it...
Is anyone still reading Dead Letters? Enjoyed the first arc, but I've fallen behind on this last one.

Day Men has been sporadic and finishes up with 8, unfortunately.
Dead Letters has been hit and miss with me. The concept doesn't sit well because I get lost too frequently.
Lantern City is really good, art in particular.
Haven't started Cluster yet.

I can only imagine how it will read once they are all out (been reading monthly but plan to read them all at once to see how it flows in a clump).  |

Read the new issue of George Perez's Sirens last night. It continues to confuse me indefinite. Every time i think i have a decent grip on the story, i get thrown out the window. So i still have NO IDEA what the point of all this is. But i know i like looking at it. So far its been a mess with pretty art.

You know honestly I feel the same about the story but also the art. It certainly is a vanity project where Perez can do whatever, whenever he wants and so the story is very confusing. I think there is a certain number of elements that must be in his head and he has not given them to us yet. As far as the art is concerned it is far from the best I have seen from Perez but I'm not sure if it's him or the colorist or even the inker if that is someone else. Either way the book is a difficult one for me to enjoy but I am determined to attempt to.

The colorist is not my favorite and I wish he had gotten someone who was more familiar with his style. I don't think it brings out the detail of perezs pencils, at certain points I think the color muddys the pencils. Overall I'm fascinated by it because I love George Perez. I can't wait to set aside 17 hours so I can read all the issues when they are out. |
