I saw the Thor announcement on BBC World News, it was really strange to have comic book news bundled with the Middle East conflict.

I love the Batgirl costume mostly. The gloves and boots just bother me. They just seem too chunky. I feel like Barbara had a really awesome designer make her costume and forgot the gloves and boots then stopped at Wal*Mart and bought the first yellow gloves and boots she could find. They don't need to have fins or anything. They just need to fit better.

I have actually strayed away from the Batverse (with the exception of Greg Capullo's work) because the tone was so dark and the books seemed like if you were reading one, you were reading them all. I am super-excited about the new direction that Batgirl is now presenting. I hope it will open a door to the Batverse for my kids (my oldest being age 13).
Because of your great discussions on air, I picked up Life After and Spread. Both were interesting.
Thanks for your wonderful program. I've only been listening for the past two weeks, but I love what I'm hearing!

Drew, Thanks for the kind words...and wait until we have the whole band together, because Stephanie could be back this week! That you even have the chance to be able to show a Bat-book to your daughter is why this is such a huge step forward for DC, and why I'm going to be beating the drum to get folks to support it with their shekels!

Just read and loved Grayson 1. It was fun and I'm interested in the new direction. Love the Batgirl redesign too and am trying to budget to pick this up.

great show this week. I'm looking forward to the new take on Thor, Jason Arron is a great writer and hasn't done wrong by Thor. In fact everything he's put him through has been fantastic.
Totally looking forward to Sam as Captain America. I read that Steve will be providing backup via radio. And his addopted son Nomad will appear too.
As far as advertising comics... is there a safe place to do it mainstream? I mean everyone with an IP Address has something to say... and more often then not it's negative, and said just to get attention

Steve, I think the Injustice Volume 1 TPB is the first half of the original Injustice series (Print issues 1-6, digital issues 1-18). Volume 2 is out on Comixology, but I'm not sure if the print version is yet. There is a Year 2 series that picks up after the end of the first run.

There's a hardcover version, the paperback doesn't come out until January 13th.

I totally didn't realize that Season One continued beyond what I'd read until after the podcast. I don't know why I thought that, but I suppose these things happen. Ha ha! Anyway, I managed to get my paws on issues #7-2 and the annual. I've already read through them all and loved every page! Our friend Rob is putting together #1-8 of Season 2 for me so I can catch up. The series really hit me from left field and I'm enjoying it immensely. I never would have thought it would be as much fun as it is. Great stuff!
