Hey just wanted to create a board to talk about valiant stuff, I'm 1 month behind (gotta secure the cheaper price on comixology). What do people think about how unity started, whether x-o will be a villain, and just anything else that pops up. So if you wanna post here say what your favorite book is, who your favorite character is, and maybe the best villain so far.
Me:
Favorite book: Harbinger Favorite Character:Archer Favorite villain: Being a good liberal I've got to go with the 1%

I'd never read any Valiant until I picked up Unity #1 and #2 to see what all the fuss was about. Have to say was pretty impressed, definitely want to find out more about the valiant universe and intend on picking up the X-O and Harbinger trades.

I'm still just before Harbinger Wars, and reading all the titles but it's just so good. I love that all the books are linked but you can read just one if you want. They really care about the shared universe and continuity and you know that any easter eggs or crossovers are well planned and pulled off expertly.
Fav Book: Archer & Armstrong Fav Character: Toyo Harada Fav Villain: Toyo Harada. Even though he is totally right

I have been a Valint fan since the old days and am really enjoying their reboot.
I was completely unimpressed with Harbinger Wars, not sure what the big deal about Unity is, loathe Quantum and Woody and think Shadowman is the best book in the line.

I was to young for the original Valiant, but every week, I find myself increasingly excited for the Valiant titles on my Pull LIst. "Quantum and Woody", "X-O Manowar" and "Eternal Warrior" always go to the top of the pile. With the release of "Unity" and announced "Armor Wars" The Valiant Universe is becoming even more intertwined and expanding. It is hard not to read each of these titles and feel the care and thought that goes behind each issue. I am happy to be all-in with this publisher.

I just read the first volumes of harbinger and XO, and to say I'm hooked is an understatement. I thought they were fantastic. Archer and Armstrong is up next.

I'm gonna agree that Harbinger Wars was a little underwhelming. It could've worked as just a crossover between Harbinger and Bloodshot. I get that they didn't want to force people to buy both titles, which was sweet of them, but I bought it all anyways.
Unity has been interesting so far. It is strangely nice to see the different characters as heroes and villains depending on the book you are holding.
I have been thinking to start a Valiant podcast for a long while now, so if anyone is interested maybe we can get something going down the line.
Fav Book: X-O, then Q&W Fav Character: Armstrong Fav Villain: Darque and Harada because of those #0 issues.

I was hesitant at first to check out Valiant, but after trying Archer and Armstrong I quickly caught up on X-O Manorwar, Bloodshot, Harbinger, Quantum and Wood, and Unity.
Favorite Book: Quantum and Woody Favorite Character: Woody Favorite Villain: X-O Manowar (depending on your perception)
The only series I've had a problem with in the Valiant line up is Shadowman, does anyone else kinda feel the same way? They've brought in a new creative team, so I'm holding out hope it will improve.

One of my local comic book shops promotes Valiant really well, and early on did a promotion to pick up all the number 1s for a buck each. I gave it a try and it's been refreshing to read a new (for me) universe of characters where each book has a distinct feel.
Favorite Book: Archer & Armstrong Favorite Character: XO Manowar Favorite Villain: The One Percent
I've been impressed with the slow build of the relaunch. Valiant seems to have a great plan in place in terms of not getting too big, too fast and overextending themselves and instead focusing on quality over quantity (I've really enjoyed the new entries, Eternal Warrior and Unity).

Looks like Comixology is doing an interesting Valiant sale. They have $0.99 issues for select, "must-read" issues in each series. Give you a little taste and hope you come back for more? Works for me!

I'm completely pulled in now. Read all 3 trades Of A/A and the first two of harbringer. I can't tell which is better. I wish I waited a little longer to jump In so I could have more to read.
