Brian Bendis released this cover art for All-New X-men 32, what would you guys think about a limited or long term team up between these two franchises?

I can't comment on the story possibilities as I haven't read nearly enough of Miles Morales, and who knows what Earth this is set on! I will say that I hope somebody at Marvel remembers to credit John Byrne and Terry Austin, whose cover for X-Men #139 this new image references:

I think that maybe Bendis asked to have an issue or two tying into Spider-Verse and is possible that Miles is coming to the 616 to help Peter and might find himself crossing paths with the All-New cast.

Interesting... This will be my first Miles encounter, but I trust Bendis so bring it on!

Chris,
I love Ms. Pichelli's work, and it's a great cover!
As you've all discovered, I'm about tracking things back to their source!
(The CBR post mentions John Byrne, but not inker Terry Austin; I'd hope that the finished piece will include a box saying "after Byrne/Austin" or some such, or perhaps have a note inside mentioning the source?)

As my constant rants and number of threads can account for, I think Ultimate Spider-Man and Miles Morales specifically are wildly underrated. I'm now 15 volumes into the original run after having finished the Miles run and it is absolutely flawless. There are some very good 616 stories, but nothing as emotional and consistent as this. Say what you will about Bendis, but he definitely knows how to handle Spidey, Miles or Peter. So this is exciting news!
On that note, anybody sifting through the back issue bin at their local comic store, please PLEASE look for issue #65 of Ultimate Spidey. Not hard to find nor expensive which is good, I've been to every store in my area and managed to pick up 5 copies all around $2 or $3 that I'm giving to friends. A very important Spider-Man comic that I think every fan or non-fan should read.

On most homage covers (of which a CBR blog has compiled at least one a week for two years now!) there isn't an indication of who did the prevoius work. I agree it'd be great if they did that. As for Byrne/Austin, I think there's something to be said for Byrne being so much more universally loved when he had an inker for himself. His more recent solo work has been OK (I liked Doomsday), but very much has a vision that maybe he is stuck in.
