Like many people have said, I'm picking up and enjoying many current Vertigo titles like The Wake, Trillium, FBP, and American Vampire. I've also been working through Brian Wood's series with Vertigo, DMZ and Northlanders. I plan on eventually buying the volumes for my collection, but thankfully my local public library has all the volumes for both and I'm slowing working my way through them (I have a college friend who is the librarian in charge of the comics/graphic novel section and has done a fantastic job getting complete series ordered).
Has anyone else read DMZ or Northlanders? Definitely different books, and I know Brian Wood isn't everybody's cup of tea, but I love the layered storytelling and mythology he builds in both series. His current series, The Massive at Dark Horse, feels like the spiritual successor to DMZ, similar issues just on a global scale.

Anyone else interested in the new Vertigo Quarterly series coming out? Although it still sounds vague, the list of creator's for the first volume, coming out April 30, sounds pretty impressive: Jock, Fabio Moon, James Tynion IV, Robert Rodi, Shaun Simon, Amy Chu, Joe Keatinge, Cris Peter, Tony Akins, and others. I'll definitely be tempted to give it a try.

I wish Marvel had a similar outlet, instead of just pumping out more X-Men books (although don't get me wrong, i love X-Men books)...

You think it'll be this plain revenge story, but it develops into so much more. And I agree that I pick up the first issues of most Vertigo books both to support the imprint and because most of the series genuinely interest me. Collider/FBP has really grown on me, especially the art and I'm loving both The Wake and Trillium. I'm also excited for American Vampire to return because I missed out on the original run, but have been catching via trades from my local library and am excited to dive into the new issues. Yeah, I think Vertigo really laid the groundwork for Image in terms of promoting more creator-owned, independent series not always focused on superheroes. I'm super excited that Vertigo has really reestablished itself in the last year or so. I know Marvel had the Icon imprint that published a few series like Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips Criminal series, but it never had near the cache of Vertigo.

I recently picked up a bunch of Unwritten issues during a recent comixology sale and have enjoyed it so far. Haven't read Joe the Barbarian but definitely want to check it out. I've been picking up Coffin Hill and FBP as well. I like both, but budget may force me to wait for trades on them.

I just purchased the first 2 Fables Deluxe Editions off Amazon, can't wait to begin reading these. If they're as good as Y The Last Man I am going to be in heaven.

The series i am reading at the moment are ...
The Wake Trillium Sandman: Overture (it has been so long since an issue of this i almost forgot to write it) and FBP
My must read vertigo list is American Vampire DMZ Swamp Thing Animal Man Black Orchid (i think this was done by vertigo) The Sandman Preacher Hellblazer Fables and spin-offs Sweet Tooth Spaceman Human Target Sandman: Mystery theater 100 bullets The Losers Books of Magic (i am 50/50 on that one however, has anyone read it?) WE3 V for Vendetta The Invisibles Y the last man
It wasn't until i made this list that i realized how many good vertigo books there are
And does anyone know if Alan Moore's work for America's Best Comics counts as Vertigo now?

Did anyone pick up The Royals: Masters of War this week? It's the first of a six-part series from Vertigo. I don't think it will be an all-time favorite but I found the premise intriguing enough to put it on my pull list for the next issue.

I like the idea as a mini-series. It'd work as an ongoing but sometimes a contained story is refreshing.

The premise sounds really cool so I'm definitely going to be looking for this one when I hit I shops today. Also, I'm glad it's a mini-series. It makes it easier to justify if I know it's going to be over in 6 issues. - Beau

Right now I'm not reading a ton of Vertigo. I missed the party on Trillium, so I'm Trade waiting there, same with the Wake.
I believe I'm only reading Hinterkind, which is pretty good, but not a top ten book for me right now. Also Sandman, but it's hard to say I'm reading it when I've been waiting for issue two for three months!!!
Some of my top all time favs...
Sandman Sweet Tooth Swamp Thing
