I haven't read any AU yet. I heard AU was good but that you should read Avengers Arena 1st so I'm 13 issues into Arena. Loving the story but bummed to hear that Avengers Undercover is ending so soon. Admittedly this news kind of makes reading all of Avengers Arena 1st feel a little pointless. Oh well 5 more issues of Arena which I love then maybe I'll pick up the AU trade when it comes out.

I definitely wouldn't say it's a waste, but I'm disappointed as well that the series is ending earlier than I thought it would. I was expecting it to go around 12-14 issues since Marvel is getting into the habit of doing "seasons" with their series now. However, overall Arena and Undercover are still very much worth reading if your interested in the younger heroes in the MCU. I've enjoyed the ride so far and I'm really looking forward to someone else utilizing these kids in another comic. |

I shouldn't have said it's pointless what I really meant was that I feel a little deflated. Nobody promised me that it would be an ongoing but I was hoping to catch all the way up before it got cancelled. I've really enjoyed AA a lot. It's a great story. My only regret is that I wasn't too familiar with the characters before AA but I'm starting to get invested in them. As a side note, I have a friend that was very familiar with these characters and was a nervous wreck while reading it so maybe not having a connection was a good thing. I'm excited to read AU and I will. When all is said and done I read comics to be entertained and to feel something. I like to connect to characters and these books have in no way been a waste. The other book that I devoured this fast was Saga. If there is something after AU with these same characters then I will definitely jump on board. |
