That would be very cool, thanks Mara! How do you get Shonen Jump? It's nigh on impossible to get it here! I do their digital subscription! I don't know if it's available outside of the US, but they release a digital version every week. It's $25 USD, and gets you 50 digital issues. Pretty sweet deal. Thanks Mara! As luck would have it, an iOS app for the weekly Shonen Jump came out here recently. I wouldn't have though to google it if you hadn't mentioned they do a digital version. Thank you for the tip!

Being someone who loves reading Manga, but has pretty much lost all track of what's good and what isn't, I think a regular feature from Mara about what's hot and what's not in the Manga world. Hopefully it'll help someone like me get back on board and even bring some others onto the Manga lovers team. Mara's Manga Musings!! I will definitely be talking about a lot of manga! I don't read a whole lot of brand new stuff (although I do read shonen jump and try to stay on top of what's coming out), I'd love to spark some interest in people concerning this HUGE medium! I'ts good to meet some other people that are interested in the Manga medium. I use to read a lot of series such as GTO!, Full Metal Panic, Berserk, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Full Metal Alchemist and Genshiken, but after a while the amount of fan service that sometimes appears in these series tends to become a little overbearing and detracts from the overall story. I know that this is partially because of the genre of manga I was reading, and that the culture really plays a heavy factor. I was wondering if you have ever felt this way about any of the manga you've read?

It could also be what I read. Lately I've been all into shojo, and fashion plays a big role in that. Bleach has some crazy fan service, but it's not too distracting to me. Every once in awhile, I read a manga only for fan service (looking at you, High School of the Dead).

A little is fine for good humor every once and a while.
