Hi All, we read all sorts of comics and graphic novels in our house. My 8 year old daughter has really taking a liking to this and is really keen on collecting her own series. We tried the My Little Pony series and Princless but she keeps coming back to looking at Marvel books. We currently have A-Force on the go but not too sure this is easy for her to follow? Any suggestions? She is drawn to female characters but is familiar with all the major male characters! Thanks!

Any suggestions? She is drawn to female characters but is familiar with all the major male characters! Thanks! Dean, First off, welcome to the Forum! MLP and Princeless were great choices, and if you can, keep up with those titles, as they are certainly in your daughter's wheelhouse I would think. For a Marvel book, A-Force is a superb book, but just as you say, a little dense in terms of "Marvel History" to be perfect for a young reader. I might suggest Squirrel Girl or Patsy Walker, aka Hellcat, but with the caveat that they both require a good knowledge of the Marvel Universe, with SG being a bit more grown-up, although not inappropriate in any major way. For me, the perfect recommendation would be Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur, a brilliantly written and drawn all-ages series that features a precocious nine-year-old who states that "My brain is the only super-power I need!" (This will be the subject of our next Book Club, by the way!)
