Stephanie and Bob are joined by Mike Antonucci on this special edition of Talking Comics. Mike has uncovered the secret history of a very cool toy from 1965. That toy is the James Bond Attaché Case that sold like GANGBUSTERS. The toy now sells on eBay for upwards of at least $400 and is a rare collector’s item that mega-fans are on the hunt for.
We chat with Mike about why the toy is so special and get into the man behind the toy, a man that hasn’t been publicly associated with the toy in all of this time and a man that deserves to be known for creating one of the most iconic toys in our time.
Share with us stories of your James Bond spy gear from when you were growing up. Did you happen to have one of these rare vintage toys? Do you have some cool info regarding it? Let us know!

Just heard the story and have never heard about this toy and only being 33 and from Australia probably not surprising. As a kid I would have loved this and now as an adult I will have to find out if it ever got here. I'm going to get the book now.

I owned tons of James Bond toys back in the day, and as I said on-air, the one that eluded me was this Attache Case; considering what it's selling for now, I'm thinking that it's gotten away from me again! It was a lot of fun to hear the story of its creation, and even more to learn of its inventor, Benjamin Kinberg! ps) Although this isn't a picture of an item from my personal collection, this is about the state my 1965 Corgi James Bond Aston-Martin is in:

I also had the Disco Volante ship from "ThunderBall" and the laser beam device from "Goldfinger"!
