I'm thrilled that so many of you are sharing my passion for the new PM/IF, and so I'm hoping that signals that the series will have a big "opening weekend" and stay around awhile, unlike so many of my "cursed" picks! Lady Killer did make it onto the "Best Mini-Series" list, and I'll predict here that Ms. Joelle Jones will find her way deeper into the debate next time around! In the meantime, you can vote for Lady Killer here!I think if any series can beat the curse, it's this one Bob. Sanford Greene and David Walker are getting a lot of love on twitter for this series. Between that and hopefully some synergy from the Netflix series, this comic will have strong sales to stand on. Bobby, From speaking with Mr. Walker ever-so-briefly at NYCC, he has a huge passion for classic Luke & Danny that I think will translate well to modern readers--fingers crossed!

My most anticipated books for 2016: Black Widow by Waid & Samnee: I didn't follow their Daredevil run but was aware of all the praise it was getting. Hopefully their high-profile involvment will help sales. And I'm very anxious to see their take on Natasha Mockingbird by Cain & Niemczyk: I loved the one-shot and thought Cain had a very good handle on Bobbie. While I'd love to see Jones come back on art in future arcs, I've been impressed by what I've seen of Niemxayk's art online. Probably my most anticipated book of the year right now. Lady Killer by Jones: Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, so happy this is coming back. Jones was my discovery of the year in 2015, rising quickly to my third favorite artist (behind Noto and Immonen) and I'm anxious to see how she is as a writer as well. Plus I really loved the story, setting and character and want more of all three. Death Vigil by Sejic: I'm really glad Sejic is willing to give this book another go. I absolutely loved this family of characters he created, enough that I don't mind that it's in the fantasy genre (not one of my favorites) Crosswinds by Simone & Staggs: This sounds pretty intriguing and fun. Simone in hit and miss with me but when she hits, it's hard. And I haven't seen any work by Staggs before but the promo art is pretty cool. Twist by Whedon & TBD: Love Whedon's Astonishing X-Men and have been hoping he would come back to the world of comics. A Victorian era Batwoman sounds like it could be fascinating. I forgot Black Window on my list! Thanks for reminding me, Phil Noto's run on BW was very enjoyable, I read his whole run along with my teenage daughter before she left for college (sad Dad face). Waid did great work on DD, so I expect the same on BW. I definitely need to add BW to my pull-list as well.

Not sure if we will see it this year, but there's a rumor of Ennis and Parlov doing a book titled "Platoon". Frank Castle's first tour in 'Nam?! Yes please.

I'm kinda in the same boat when it comes to Gail Simone, Most of her highly touted work is with DC and for some reason I just can't seem to find books from that universe that stick with me. But I took a look a the premise and art for Crosswinds and I think I will have give it a shot. The art is right up my alley and the idea of a hitman and a housewife mind swap sounds like fun. Based on the premise it sounds like this may be a book that it may take at least a couple of issues to get into the full swing.

Death Vigil + more Sunstone, Revival finale, Batman [returning], anything by Tom King
I'm most interested in the Snyder / Lemire: A.D.: After Death - 'What if we cure death?', I find the subject fascinating anyway but with these guys on as a team it really is an automatic BUY for me. I'm working on something with similar subject matter so it's going to be great for me personally to be able to compare perspectives and how we have interpreted our research around this subject.

Count me on that list of PM/IF fans. I absolutely love these character and between the fact that David F Walker is an incredible writer and all the art from Sandford Greene looks incredible, I have high hopes for this series. Looking forward to Death Vigil. My OGN might be a bit of a cheat but I'm looking forward to Surviving Megalopolis. I know they are releasing the floppies first but my hardcover of Leaving Megalopolis looks so good on the shelf that I want the sequel to sit proudly next to it.
I've honestly reached a point in my collecting where I prefer a sweet looking hardcover edition so much more than single issues.

Long boxes just don't have the same presence as a bookshelf full of real books. There are still some things I will collect as floppies, but I have slashed my pull list dramatically.

Since I just finished Death Vigil the other night I can't wait for more. Lady Killer vol 2 is also on my radar along with PM/IF. Other than that, I've been in a void on what's coming up in 2016 as I've been catching up on my pile from 2015

In terms of new titles:
Snotgirl Revengeance Cry Havoc The Ludocrats A.D. Power Man & Iron Fist Waid/Samnee's Black Widow
And of course super excited for more:
Saga Lady Killer Barrier I Hate Fairyland Injection Sex Crims Saga Velvet Copperhead Paper Girls Saga Bitch Planet Pretty Deadly Monstress Saga The Dying & The Dead East of West Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Hellcat Above The Clouds and how could I forget Saga
OH, and I'm reading Y: The Last Man for the first time in those nice new double-trade editions, and as such I'm only 3/5ths of the way through the series at the moment, and they seem likely to put out the final two "books" of that this year. So I'm really, reallllllly excited to see how that ends, even if for most everybody else it ended back in 2008 or so.

I'm looking forward to the final Luther Strode.
I want to continue loving the best book on the shelves Lasarus.
My heart is dying to read some more Sunstone.
My most looked forward to series is (and damn I hope it works and lasts) Power man and Iron fist. I just wish the art wasn't so... cartooney. Whenever I think of the duo I always flash on the series Immortal Iron Fist, the two of them eating Chinese food after Danny is patched up by the night nurse. I wish that Aja Artwork could be replicated in an ongoing series about them.

Volume 4 of Sunstone is something that I'm much looking forward to as well, I just didn't mention it or Death Vigil initially, as I knew that they would be brought up (and more eloquently!) by others, so I left that task to you fine folks! I know that it's delayed a bit due to Mr. Sejic's shoulder issues, but let's hope for sooner rather than later! As someone whose love for Luke Cage and Danny Rand goes back to their solo roots, I'd love to see the old-fashioned art that accompanied them in those original stories. I've a feeling, though, that for those on the fence, Sanford Greene's work on PM/IF will read differently as sequential art than it does as pin-ups:

Tony, Your list looks a lot like my notes for last week's show, I sadly couldn't get to most of them, Velvet most particularly! I'm trade-waiting on that one, which is turning out to be a decisiion I'm regretting, as every time an issue comes out, I'm very, very torn, and want to grab it and run home to read it!

I had actually only seen concept art and pinups. Seeing that makes me even more excited for this book again thank you. It looks like Luke and Danny are doing some street level stuff in tune to their roots. I just hope there's not a big magic Damon from a level of hell or something equivalent behind one of those doors. I hope your staying safe during the snow. As far as Sunstone goes I think I'd rather have the quality and delays vs a rushed project just to get it to us.

Carol,
I'm thrilled that I helped re-ignite your passion for the new PM/IF! Sanford Green's art seems perfectly suited to a street-level book, and the smaller touches of humour (little Danielle on the floor, that guy yelling as Danny & Luke pass), paired with David F. Walker's love for the characters might turn this book into the new Hawkeye...or at least I'm hoping!
Someone recently told me that Sunstone vol. 4 is complete and heading to the printers, with an as-yet undetermined street date sometime in February, so not too far away now!
Back to shovelling, Bob (Thanks for the "stay safe", by the way...it means a lot! rrr)

Back to shovelling, Bob (Thanks for the "stay safe", by the way...it means a lot! rrr) Street level books seem to be hitting harder then the grand scale "Universe Changing" events. I think (and I am running Marvel shhhhhh no one knows) it's time things were smaller. Like Hellcat, Squirrel Girl, Sam Wilson Captain America. Things matter. There just not world ending. I miss the days when a bank robbery was a story.
