Cons: I would have liked to include slightly less luke. I like him, and am very much looking forward to his show, but this is jess' show. I don't know if you've read the comics or not. But Luke Cage plays a big role in Jessica Jones life. They didn't put him on this show to simply set up the Luke Cage tv show like they did on Arrow and Flash with the Legends of Tomorrow characters. He is actually vital to her story. They can't just simply have him disappear. I do have one criticism of the show and it involved a very annoying character that kept popping in and out for some reason. Overall the characters on the show are particularly strong aside from that one character. I chalk this up to the drawback of the Netflix model. Had this been a weekly tv show that character wouldn't make it past one episode. I have read the full run. I didn't say Luke should not be in it. First off, in the comic, Luke comes in at the begining and is absent for the middle before returning at the end. I feel like they should have done that in the show. Again it's not a big deal, but we'll see what her role is in Luke cages movie.

Not finished yet with the season, more than halfway through right now, but i did read all of Alias in less than a week. And i have to say, i like what i have seen of the show more than the comic. The book is good overall, and it has a lot of things in it that i like that the show also has, but Bendis and his writing style really annoyed me a lot of times while i was reading.
But enough about the comic, show is great so far, with the last one i've watched(think it was 7)being my favourite so far!

He is in a few episodes early on and disappears during the middle and finally comes back in the end. He wasn't in every episode.

Per IMDB he is in 7/13 episodes, over half. you can disagree with me all you want on what you believe his placement should be and that is fine. But he is in more than half the series and plays an integral role in the finale. That is where I decided that, in my opinions (which is what a review is) he was in the show more than I thought he should be.

Whether it escalates to one is entirely up to you. I've been nothing but civil in my disagreement with your opinion. Just pointing that out since you seem to think I'm starting an argument some how. Now getting back to the discussion. I said he wasn't in every episode because by the way you make it sound it seemed like he was. Also most of his appearances in those episodes was limited to 5 to 10 minutes tops. He had the most screen time in only two episodes. From my view he was in it for just the right amount of time. He never hog the spotlight from Jessica and the story was always focused on Jessica. If you were expecting his appearance to be exactly like the Comic. Well tv and the comic are two different mediums. What worked in the comic doesn't work on television. Also you have to factor the people who watch this and have never read the comic before. They are going to be really confused if they present him the same way. I thought they did a good job.

Loved first season!Sure, there were some nitpicks here and there, some characters felt off to me, some stuff at the end felt like filler or didn't make much sense, but just like with Daredevil there were so many things they did right in this show.
Marvel is killing it with these Netflix shows, and i can't wait for what's coming next year!

It makes me hope that they can work Danny in a similar way in the Cage series. As a longtime fan of Power Man and Iron Fist, I have to say that I love the three characters and their interactions. I almost would rather Daredevil do his own thing and have Jess, Luke and Danny be Heroes for Hire.

Just watched the first episode (finally). Really good show so far, but the tone and subject matter make it difficult for me to want to watch more than 1 at a time. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Dark and intense.

Aaaaand 14 hours later I finished it. (Egad!)
Great series but very heavy stuff. Personally I was more creeped out by the comic version of Kilgrave, but tenant made him a far deeper character than he was in the books
