Anyone else reading Alan Moore's new Lovecraftian homage? A great return to form for Mr Moore, I enjoyed the Nemo trilogy, and the Crossed 100 stuff was alright but the first 2 issues of Providence have really blown me away. The way the dialogue is used to explain a lot of the references and ideologies reminds me a lot of From Hell. Jacen Burrows art is the best I've seen in a Avatar book and real captures a noir feel. It's also a chunky book, with no adverts and the obligatory few pages of prose at the end. Highly recommend this book, especially if you're a Lovecraft fan.

Yes, I've been really enjoying it so far. Jacen Burrows is (to my eye) the best artist working at Avatar by some way and it's good to see him flexing his muscles a bit. btw, I don't know if you kept up with Crossed +100, but the last two issues were seriously creepy and a big pay-off to the great slow burn of the series up to that point.

I've got the last 2 issues of Crossed +100, not got round to reading them yet. Will probably read the whole thing in one go when I get some time. I'm sensing something horrible is on it's way though, lol.

I was in love from issue one. So clever, and refreshing. Although i think i enjoy crossed 100+ a bit more than you do, i f'n love that book. Im all in for providence. I even got my brother into comics with it, he's a lovecraftian nut
