Telos has been realllllllllllll fun! I loved convergence, so all the pay off books have been top notch

so why was DC YOU a failure?
I ended up buying more books because of it.
with highlights like midnighter, grayson, martian manhunter and black canary I am sad that it did not work.

I'm not even sure if it was a failure as such, they were on a downward spiral financially before it happened. I reckon the whole Rebirth thing is DC taking drastic measures to try and make up ground on Marvel and open the gap between them and Image back up. It'll be very interesting to see if it works! |

It'll be very interesting to see if it works! i am a little tired of the Marvel thing, they are more expensive have been double shipping and gets a almost half their sales numbers from the star wars comics. i don't think DC has been doing much wrong, other then lack of marketing.. and keeping people up to date on changes |

Jumping in quick... So in my humble opinion, I think a portion of the DC You "failure" has a little bit to do with the disastrous Convergence series and tie-ins. Was there good stuff in Convergence? I think so. However, that period of time where regular series went on hiatus I feel it slowed momentum to a screeching halt. In addition, prior to Convergence, DC was discussing how continuity and things like that were not going to hold them back from telling good stories. But when DC You started, many books went back to the New 52 status quo. My hope is this current "Rebirth" plan is where DC makes good on loosening up the reigns on continuity and telling good stories. I'd love to see some Superman comics with his powers back in line with the classic iteration. Or Doom Patrol with Beast Boy on an adventure. Not sure on the latter, but I hope DC can move into the future without forgetting their past. Now who else is up for a Detroit Justice League of America being led by Aquaman!  |
