I have been loving the Justice League 3001 and really want to pick up other giffen and Dematteis works since I have a feeling there are many inside jokes I am missing. I always find any comic with Harley Quinn funny so loved the Harley and Power Girl this week. I really enjoyed Cyborg since I found they were able to have social commentary and not be preachy which can be hard to do.

Disappointing to hear all the news on Bleeding Cool that DC may be pulling back on the DC You initiative. I understand that at the end of the day it's a business and sales count above all but surely their expectations couldn't have been that high going up against the mammoth Marvel combination of Secret Wars & Star Wars. I'm a fan of quite a few DC books at the moment and would hate to see story lines like de-powered Superman shelved early or titles like Gotham Academy cancelled. Hopefully this is Bleeding Cool making a mountain of a molehill and DC doesn't drastically alter it's current course.

so DC You has been going for awhile.. what books are you guys loving? my top 5 are Midnighter Secret Six Grayson Martian Manhunter Black Canary there are several others i really like.. but these are ones i savour and Earth 2: Society are fantastic. I'm very surprised there isn't more love for them given the $2.99 price and the diverse creative teams. Both very sore points with a lot of people at the moment. With all the complaints about Red Wolf at Marvel not being written by a Native American, the fact that Daniel H Wilson's name barely came up in that conversation is interesting as he is a Native American writer. All-Star Section Eight has been very enjoyable as well. Free-form and filthy insanity. Very keen for there to be a more mature comedy book at DC every year or so as a mini-series after this. I haven't even had the spare cash to check the others out yet. Some trades await me thinks. |

I'm really enjoying Earth 2: Society - the art is excellent and its a very fun book which due to its almost out of continuity feel allows it to have the feeling of more tension and genuine threat to the characters.

I have dropped Flash for the first time in awhile, I like the art fine but I am just finding it hard work to read & lost the enjoyment, I think I am going to admit defeat that the New-52 Flash is not for me, new speed force dimension / Barry's Dad / Reverse Flash / Professor Zoom ... none of them are sitting right. The old universe is still mine so I will wait to see if I hear it is good again and I might take a look.

Im the exact opposite with the flash book. For me it has gotten better and better with each issue. There isn't a book i look forward to more.

Shame really as it was one of my favorites pre-52, I do wonder if it is more me and my current taste than the book. Almost every month I look at my pull list and I'm adding more indy so something had to go and I buy very little Marvel anymore.
I will keep watching the forums so if there is an arc you feel is amazing post and I might take another look.

Like i said, im all in for this current zoom arc. The book is firing on all cylinders. This creative gels so well its insane. Each and every issue is better and better. These guys are one of the most consistently good teams in all of comics. Booth draws the Flash with more energy than any artist i've seen before. The flash is my favorite charecter, the first comic i ever collected was the Messner-loebs wally run, which my all time favorite run of any book all time. He took a generic flash and made him into what he is today. He paved the way for waid and then johns, and now the tv show. The show now has deep roots in that run. Saying that, i LOVE this current run... not quite on that level, but it is one of my favorites. I've seen complaints online, and i feel like they are reading a different book than me. Im learning to ignore the internet and all its cynicism. Just because one guy doesn't like it... he goes out of his way to convince others to feel how he feels.... give it a shot, i cosign.

I think DC have been doing great things with so many of their books since the DcYou. This is the most DC books I think I have ever had on my pullist.
It's was too hard to pick my top 5 so I went with a top 10 instead:

Ive loved catwoman since the new52 began, people see boobs, and cry that it's disrespectful. They are just boobs, deal with it. Only in America is a woman's body disrespectful.
