I'm curious if anyone has input on the best way to set a reading order for various digital readers such as Perfect Viewer, ComiCat or Comic Rack. If there is a better application for managing this, I'm also willing to entertain that.
I have paid versions of both Perfect Viewer and ComiCat but cannot see a way to easily set reading order for say, a crossover event or for sorting parallel comics into a satisfying reading order. The closest I can see is to duplicate my CBZ/CBR files, rename them for the crossover event, and then stuff them into a folder for ComiCat to pick up in a folder named for the crossover event. Barring this ability, it's just annoying to hop in and out of various series folders and hope I don't forget to go back to the right book after setting my tablet down and coming back to it later.
I don't yet own Comic Rack but after the disappointment of the previous two applications I am hesitant to lay down cash on it. Both Perfect Viewer and ComiCat are great in their own way, they just don't seem to do this one thing that I want them to, though there are hints that both ought to be capable of it. Also, since I'm using a Fire HDX I'll have to sideload Comic Rack after buying it if I go that route (also why I haven't just gone and grabbed the free version yet).
So if anyone knows how to use any of these (or any other reader) to create a custom reading order across titles, I'd really appreciate a push in the right direction.
Thanks!
