I loved the previous run on X-Factor, At times it trumped my love for daredevil as my favorite comic. I was very eager to pick up the all new X-Factor and see what direction they are going to take it, especially after finding out we were sticking with our tried and true writer. Once I found out about the cast I was a little disappointed as I have never had any interest in any of the characters aside from polaris in the previous X-Factor.
Now that I've had the chance to read it I am a little underwhelmed with the book. I came into with an open mind and a willingness to like it, but I'm afraid it might lose it's spot on my pull list if it continues on like this. I will definitely give it a couple more issues to see how well the team gets rounded out. What do you guys think? I know Bob was a big X-Factor fan, are you going to stay on this?

I'm only maybe 12 issues into the last volume of X-Factor (it's an ongoing project as budget allows) but I jumped onto this number 1. I enjoyed it and will be picking up issue 2. I agree the team is... not very exciting, but I'm hoping Peter David can change my mind on that. Madrox will definitely be missed. I'd say I hope he ends up somewhere else but I'm not sure anyone can write him beside David.

I was a little underwhelmed at first. If it was a different writer I would probably be dropping it. However, I've read PAD's previous run on X-Factor and Supergirl, so I'm willing to stick around. Not every issue from every creator is going to be a gem.

I was contemplating getting the new #1, but the underwhelming reviews it received turned me away from it. Maybe I'll grab it if it picks up steam.

Have almost read all of the last volume, only need to read the last ten or so issues and then i've read everything. Gonna eventually read All-New too cause i love the team and Peter David's writing but don't think i'm going to like it as much as the last one because a lot of my favorite characters like Madrox, Layla, Strong Guy, Monet and Longshot aren't in this one.

Longshot definitely grew on me. I had a few laughs from the recent "longshot saves the marvel universe" mini that just came out. I think they did a good job keeping the same personality he had from the recent x-factor.

I really like the old run and was actually excited about the cast.
Especially quicksilver as I don't see much of him.
I had hope that Peter David can make any character interesting.
That being said I read the first 2 issues and I did not care for them at all.
That story is not why I read a Peter David comic.
I have his entire run or Incredible Hulk, She Hulk, and now X-factor. He also did a pretty cool super girl back in the day.
This read nothing like his other work, I am seriously thinking that someone else might be helping with him with the writing duties on this one or something because it just does not feel like his writing style

Things picked up in issue 3, still not the most stellar title but it's definitely taking a turn for the better! Anybody make it this far?

Joe, I completely agree--this issue was the first in this new series that read like a "Peter David comic"! As I think I said on-air, the first two seemed as if it was one issue s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d out for marketing purposes! I'm in for at least one more!

Their exchange around the pool table was classic Peter David stuff, and the plot thickening that can arise from their dealings could make for some entertaining reading moving forward.

Call me crazy but I actually enjoy this series. Is it the best Marvel has to offer? No. But for what it is and what it's trying to accomplish, I've really enjoyed it. Then again, I've never read a single issue of X-Factor in my life before this new #1 was released. That may be part of why I'm enjoying this.

What is the good word on this series? I am a huge PAD fan and he is one of the few creators I get gob smacked around but wasn'tgonna purchase this dis to the lack of Layla and Madrox.
I did decide to trade wait it out and ordered volume 1 through DCBS. Is it good? Looking forward to PAD's take on Doug Ramsey.

I've officially dropped this, I just can't bring myself to have any interest in the cast.
