Yep I am getting a totally different vibe / tone from Suicide Squad than BvS and it isn't a bad thing, nothing I have seen so far has put me off and I had to chuckle about your comment about no security - last night I saw someone comment somewhere "They'll be giving out copies of the script soon!".
And I love the Will Smith meme going around "You either die a Fresh Prince or live long enough to see yourself become Uncle Phil" ~ Classic!

The trailer has been officially released, none of this shaky cam stuff.
I can't wait for Amanda Waller. She's going to be like Nick Fury but with actual stakes (no offense to the Marvel movies, but at this point death is moot... or Groot?) I LOVE the use of I started a joke. Also really curious what they do with Enchantress. The one part of both the DC and Marvel universes I've never liked is the magic side. This might change my mind.
And Jared Leto Joker is frightening. I love that laugh so much. Perfect choice for the role though. You need an actor who just completely transforms. Otherwise you just get someone who phones it in or copies another version.
I honestly think Will Smith will play the standard Will Smith fare in this, but both he and Waller will be the grounded portion, all the other characters will bring the crazy.

I loved the vibe i got from the trailer! I loved seeing deadshot WITH a mask!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Being a lifetime Harley fan, im diggin her alot. And while i dont like the jokers grill like teeth, i like everything else about him so far.

as someone not familiar with most Suicide Squad characters im sad to say that the trailer left me mostly cold, and i fear what that means for mass market, i feel they really have to kick it up a notch with the second trailer to get non-comics people interested in the movie

I liked the trailer, it certainly made me think that this would be a pretty / action flick in terms of the directors vision but it was definitely darker in tone which personally I'm ok with but prior to that trailer it felt like it was a few notches down on the grim / gritty / seriousness'ness scale.
Because of the iconic nature of the Joker character I will wait till I see the movie as its impossible to tell from a trailer but the look is OK, it's about how he interacts that'll make or break his portrayal for me.
I haven't heard any feedback from my friends who don't like comics but do love superhero movies, they just seem stoked that there are so many being made and they have lots of excuses to go to the cinema.
