Sorry for the unintentional click-bate title but I ran out of characters
Anyway, I'm a quasi-digital reader right now. The only title I read consistently is Batman because my wife likes to read it occasionally too and it's easier to have that available to her digitally than handing her books. Lately I've been picking up some of the newer titles digitally--like Gotham Academy, Thor, Wytches--and I'm trying to move into an almost all-digital future for 2015. I'm lucky enough that space isn't necessarily an issue with me but I find that I'm not reading my physical books much anymore because I can't find the time between work, gaming, TV watching, and spending time with my wife. On break at work is usually when I'm able to get any kind of reading done and for that, digital is far easier than bringing physical books to my job. So I feel like I would actually be caught up on my books if I got them all digitally.
Sounds good right? The problem is, I can't commit to digital fully and it's for two stupid reasons that I am hoping someone can help me work through:
1. If you get all your books digitally, what do you do when you meet a creator you love at a convention? I know art prints are available from almost all comic artists at shows, but I'm already drowning in prints that I'll probably never hang. Plus, what about writers? What would I have them sign?
2. How do I tell my store I'm going all digital? I've only been going to my shop for a few years now but the guys in there are super nice to me and I feel like I am just starting to get a bit of special treatment because of my loyalty. I know I could still shop there for trades and whatnot but unfortunately, Amazon or instocktrades would likely get my business because the pricing is so much cheaper and I'm a cheap ass reader.
Thanks in advance for any help on the matter and I hope I can make the move in 2015.
