Michael Douglas has been revealed to join the cast as Hank Pym while it has been confirmed that Paul Rudd is Scott Lang! This is interesting

So I wonder now that if they introduce Janet she would have to be Scott Lang's love interest.

Even more excited for this, Douglas is legendary! To get him to do a comic book movie?! Man I would have imagined that happening and Rudd as Scott Lang is all too perfect. I'm so excited for this movie.

I was against this at first (I'm very much a die-hard Hank Pym fan), but the more I think about it, the more the possibilities intrigue me. Perhaps Hank was some kind of S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist in the 50s/60s/70s who created Pym Particles as some kind of spying tool, and perhaps that could connect him to, say, Howard Stark.
The idea seems pretty logical, especially seeing how Marvel's currently handling Ant-Man in the colleges--we all know how much Marvel likes conforming the books to the movies. Scott Lang is Ant-Man, and Hank is in a very "Doctor Pym" type phase, like in West Coast Avengers. I'm not sure I'm as enthusiastic about the idea of Janet being Scott's love interest or Hank's daughter--one of the best elements of Scott, in my opinion, is his being a divorcee with a daughter. Of course, this could leave the possibility of another love interest even more open.

Oh wow that is some big news to me. Never would have expected that, but that could be really awesome if done right.

Michael Douglas will fit this role so well in my opinion. I'm going to be at the edge of my seat the whole time wishing they make him say "I'm going home" though.

Edgar Wright could make a movie about paint drying and I'd be eager to see it.
Is Joe Cornish still attached as co-writer? Attack the Block was written and directed by Cornish and it was awesome.

Patrick Wilson joins the cast - who do we think he's playing?
I think he'd make a great and believable young Michael Douglas...

I like the new costume they put up on the Assembling A Universe thing last night. I'm really looking forward to this.
