The creative team on "New Suicide Squad" is writer Sean Ryan, a former editor at both DC and Marvel who wrote the upcoming "Suicide Squad" #30, the finale of that volume of the book; and artist Jeremy Roberts, winner of last year's "Harley Quinn" Open Talent Search and the artist of this month's "Stormwatch" #30. The new series will feature the additions of Deathstroke, Black Manta and Joker's Daughter -- who based on the cover look to have definite power over holdovers Harley Quinn, Deadshot and Amanda Waller.
"This is one of the most exciting projects I've ever been a part of, and I think that excitement really translates to the page," Roberts told IGN. "It's going to be a great jumping-on point for new readers, and long time fans of this series are going to be very happy!"
This news follows a month after the well-received live-action debut of the Suicide Squad on CW series "Arrow." The current volume of "Suicide Squad" is set to end with #30, scheduled for release in May
