If you read the name of this thread, then you know this can only be Hickman's East of West. I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread for this book yet, but figured I would get one going. Now that we are ten issues into this epic sci-fi western how are you guys feeling about it? Personally the level of world building Hickman is doing here is phenomenal, whether the issue focuses on the overall plot or just the story of a single character you know your getting something rich in character. Also, I belive Nick Dragotta's art work exceptional at syncing everything together, through his choice of pencils and colors on this book.
So what impressions do you guys have so far? What do you like or dislike? Also, if you've never read it and have some questions please ask, because everyone should give this series atleast one shot.

Haven't read the latest issue(usually wait till its a bit cheaper) but i really like this book and i enjoy reading it every time. For me it has a lot to do with the art by Dragotta and the colors which looks gorgeous. The story is typical Hickman stuff, he's been building this world since issue one and while i don't always understand everything i do enjoy it very much. Also really deep and interesting characters.

Man, this book is so so good. Not managed to pop into my LCS this week yet to pick #10 up, but it's my most anticipated book this week. There is nothing I dislike about this book, got the feeling this is building to something incredible.

I've got #10 sitting in front of me right now, but haven't opened it yet. I really like it, but it's definitely a slow burn type thing, there's a lot going on and only so many pages to get the story out. For people interested in starting this title I'd 100% recommend getting the trades. This book is a little tough going through with just the single monthly issue.
I REALLY liked #9, the Prince of New Orleans seems like a very interesting character. I really hope he is kept in the loop with the story.

Just read #10. wow, The panels with the Lair of the Beast were fantastic. Reminded me some what of Akira. The dialogue was awesome as well 'Black is not a colour, it is the absence of light'. And the fight sequence with Cheveyo, I can't put into words how much I enjoyed that.

Death's son looks like he has a couple tricks up his sleeve, I can't wait to see him surprise the hell out of the horsemen.
