For over 30 years I was almost exclusively a DC fanboy until the New 52 reboot eliminated most of what I loved about the DC Universe. Now I've defected over to Marvel and am exploring things I was interested in but never tried. One thing I've discovered about Marvel that I love is the Cosmic side of their universe. I've started scooping up everything to do with the Annihilation and War of Kings storylines and want more Cosmic!
I'm already sold on the current/upcoming Cosmic offerings from Marvel (GotG, Nova, Silver Surfer, Cyclops...) but was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions for any further reading. Mostly I'm looking for any past storylines that appeared in non-Cosmic books as those are harder for me to search for.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Do you have any particular interest for a character or group that isn't on the cosmic scale?

If you're looking for something thats more mainstream Marvel but still has a bit of a cosmic vibe you could try out Fantastic Four. Both the Fraction and Hickman runs are pretty sci-fi and of very high quality.

Do you have any particular interest for a character or group that isn't on the cosmic scale? Not really. Just looking for any story arcs that deal with the cosmic characters. I know there are a couple of Shi'ar storylines in X-Men and I'm sure the Fantastic Four have had their share of cosmic adventures. It's just hard to find them without knowing what I'm looking for.

I would recommend the Infinity Trilogy: Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity War, Infinity Crusade. This trilogy focuses on the cosmic universe and revolves around two of its greatest characters Adam Warlock and Thanos. The prequel to this trilogy can be found in the Marvel Masterworks Captain Marvel Vol.3, here you get the first intro to Thanos and a good chunk of stories involving another cosmic legend Captain Marvel.

Any of Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning's Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy is a must have. They sewed the seeds for those cosmic stories today.

Considering that you've read Annihilation, I'd read Annihilation Conquest, followed by the stint of Guardians of the Galaxy written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. Annihilation: Conqeust segues directly into GoTG, and GoTG itself is a big part of War of Kings. It's also the primary material upon which the upcoming Guardians movie is based.
