Ok, I did a comic to movie adaption over on the movies thread. How about a media to comics adaptions? There has been a big influx of continuing tv shows through comics and there have always been comic adaptions of movie and tv. What's your idea of the best or what are your favorites? I love the old Gold Key adaptions, especially Twilight Zone. Also love Walt Kelly's Our Gang adaptions and the Marvel Star Wars original series. Gotta love a 6' green rabbit....long live Jaxxon!!!!

I really enjoyed both the Uncharted and The Last of Us comics (with the latter later being turned into DLC for the game) that came out and I've been pretty vocal about my excitement for Gail Simone's Tomb Raider comic adaptation since the original tie-in comic with the main game (written by the writer of the game) was quite good as well.
Otherwise I'm really enjoying what IDW has been doing with their adaptations. Ghostbusters, My Little Pony, The X-Files and Godzilla have all been fantastic. And Brian Wood's Star Wars is great too.
(And I realize video games weren't included in the original post as one of the viable options but after so many years of shoddy tie-ins, it's nice to see that gaming is finally getting some really great comic adaptations)

The Alien Original Art Edition hardcover is amazing (Archie Goodwin and Walt Simonson), I got it for my friend for Christmas and he said he can't stop staring at it. I used to love the old Indiana Jones comics that Marvel did, and I'm the proud owner of all Marvel and DC Star Trek comics (mainly because my brother kept giving them to me). At NYCC I picked up all of the trade volumes of the Star Trek Gold Key comics for next to nothing. Now if I could only find time to read them... On one of the Word Balloon Bendis Tape podcasts Bendis admitted to secretly wanting to do a movie adaptation comic, and wished Marvel was still in that business.
