I went into Glasgow City centre today to look at guitars but also to hopefully buy a couple of graphic novels to add to my collection, I won't name the 2 shops in question I went to but needless to say that they are both well known comic book retail establishments, anyway I was on the hunt for Deadpool: Axis & Green Arrow: Broken but after having seen the prices in both stores for each graphic novel (£17 & £19) respectively I think I'll stick to purchasing my graphic novels from Amazon, sure I have to wait a couple of days but they arrive in perfect condition & for a much cheaper price.
What I'd like to know is how are shops like this still in business when they are charging exorbitant prices for what are essentially drawings on a piece of paper.
As for one shop I went into I can understand why as graphic novel/comic book fans we get attached with the stigma of "I'm 45, still live with my parents in their basement" because this place looked & felt more like a sex shop than a comic book & collectibles shop.
Sorry this was a bit of a rant, just had to get it off my chest.
P.S
Can anyone guess the two shops I visited?.

I'll hazard a guess that one was Forbidden Planet!
