Hey guys so I was wondering if anyone was buying comics for their loved ones & friends this Christmas. In particular I'm interested if people are getting comics for the non comic reading folk in their loves ans what those books might be.
I'm trying to get as many people as I think will at least give it a go a comic. If even one person reads another comic or is really interested in learning more then I've won a small victory for the comic community.
So far Ive got Anya's Ghost for my 15 year old cousin, Meteor Men for slightly younger brother, Southern Bastards Vol 1 for my Uncle & a little independent comic called "Fuck I'm in my Twenties" for my sister.
Hopefully any replies might give me some more ideas. Trying to steer away from the Big 2 unless its really amazing or different as I think there are so many amazing stories that people are unaware are able to be told via the medium of comics. There are a thousand super hero things on tv and the big screen its easy yo get your dose of that, plus not everyone would be into just capes and cowls.
Cheers in advance for any replies

I am indeed. I've got a copy of Sing No Evil for my uncle. Being a musician and a lover of comics means I'm pretty sure he'll dig that book.

I tried last year with my wife, who is a big Dr Who fan, but not into comics. I had picked up 3 collected editions and was super excited to see what she thought. They are still unread and collecting dust on her bookcase...
this year I am buying comics for my 7 year old daughter, but I already know she is way into it. I'm getting Princess Ugg, Lumberjanes, and maybe one of the older collections of tiny titans for her. She also liked rocket girl a lot, but has read all those. The problem i have with her is she prefers to read digitally, so I'm toying with the idea of setting her up with her own comixology account so she can build her own library instead of using mine, which is full of stuff that isn't exactly kid-friendly.

Owly for two three year olds Hilda bk 1 for a five year old / the parents to read to her. Tintin and the Black Islamd for a nine year old. Rover Red Charlie for a dog lover (who can handle the Ennis moments) Building Stories for a 40 something.
Bought 'best Americian comics 2014' for myself while ordering all that as it is physically impossible to buy all that comicsness for others without buying something for yourself.
