There's nothing glorious in how I found Talking Games, I'm afraid. I simply jumped over to it after hearing about it on Talking Comics so many moons ago.
Your discussion of multiplayer etiquette reminded me of trying to introduce two separate groups of friends to one another where each group knows you just a little differently from the other. It was pretty hysterical. I'm glad you all actually think about stuff like that though, since most of the MP experiences I've had were the typical racist or homophobic remarks followed by abrupt quitting.

Hearing you guys talk about Rock Band and Guitar Hero made me want to play again, which i hadn't done for years. So i was searching my whole house for Rock Band 3 on the 360 and a guitar. When i finally found them i found out the yellow button on the guitar wasn't working anymore, so i had to fix that first. But after an hour or so i finally got it to work, and spent the rest of the evening playing.
So thanks for that, and keep up the good work!

Though, if I'm not mistaken, I think the "tilt" feature to go into overdrive or whatever is wonky on my guitars. :-( Do they even sell Rock Band equipment anymore, or is it perhaps buried in a giant hole somewhere like those E.T. cartridges? Hmmmmm ...

Multi-player can often be a mine field of disappointment in regard to interactions with other players. Awful language and behavior is one of the chief reasons why I've stayed away from it for so many years. I'm happy to see that the Talking Games brand is establishing itself as a fun and safe group to play with online. Soon we'll be able to jump online and choose from a whole list of fine folks to play with and it will be awesome. Thanks so much for listening and supporting the show!

Simple search for "video games" inside a podcast app on my iPhone is how I found Talking Games. I subscribed to many of them at the time and systematically weeded out the ones I didn't like. I listen to 4-5 of them now on a rotating basis, with TG as one of my favorites.
I didn't know anything about the Talking Comics podcast at the time. I'm not a huge fan of comics for no other reason than I simply haven't been exposed to them. I've read some of Fables and due to my obsession to consume everything Joss Whedon, I've read the Astonishing X-Men, Runaways, and Serenity/Buffy/Angel series.

I have been listening to TV for a little over a month. Typed "Video Games" into Tunein Radio(Which 'Talking Comics' doesn't seem to be on, ahem). Big fan. If I had anything past a PS3 or 360 I'd try to jump in a game.
As for Multiplayer games, The very first was taking turns on Super Mario Bros. And Balloon Fight. The first and best Super Mario Kart. Super Smash Brothers on N64 Perfect Dark and Time Splitters 2 rank on the top of my list.

Just wanted to say thanks to Justin too, and the rest of the talking games clan. Had a good time last night - thanks for getting thru the game with me. I can start on my light levels now!
Infamous1, are you wicked_d that I was playing with last night? I can't remember your exact PSN name. You (or anyone else from talking games) feel free to friend me on PSN - Distrait

I found the TG podcast by searching for gaming podcasts on the TuneIn radio app on my phone. Since then I've started using Podcast Republic instead because the new episodes seem to become available quicker on there! Anyway, I'm glad I found you guys, it gives me something to look forward to at the end of the week.
It would be cool to play Destiny with you all but I think the time difference might be an issue! Not to mention I just got Fifa 15 so a lot of my time is going into that right now...
On the topic of multiplayer games, some of my favourites were the TimeSplitters series, Hogs of War and Tekken.

I forgot to ask, did any of those engrams we got at the end of that strike turn into anything good? Hopefully some light?

Can't remember them all, but yes, one helmet +5 light What I'm finding so far in destiny is that when I get a set of armor or a combination I like, it changes soon after in favor of better stats. I guess shaders are meant to unify that look, but thus far I only have green and I'm not a fan of it. I'm liking the all black with red helm I've got going on right now though.
