I loved every bit of Spider-Verse. The only thing I did not enjoy out of the entire series and all of the tie-ins was the final issue of Edge of Spider-Verse, the one that was kind of horror-ish. I'm sad to see it end. I would honestly follow titles about so many of the new spiders like Spider-Punk and SP//dr, but at least we're getting a Spider-Gwen series!

A team of six Spider-Folk will have a book in Secret Wars.

Yeah, pretty much we are getting a team consisting of: Ham, India, Noir, UK, Gwen and (the reports are conflicting a lot on this) either Mayday or Anya. It seems to be an ongoing per the newest solicitations (there is no 1 of x)....

So in that secret wars tie in.... if Gwen gets a call, will she jump through a portal, and tell us that if we want to see her in action to go buy the tie in issue for the tie in issue?

And that was the real ending to Spider-Verse! Loved the transformation that Mayday, Karn, Anya and Spider-UK did in this issue. Also I'm interested about what Otto did and that we will see some of these characters soon in Secret Wars's Spider-Verse...
....and and certain someone is not down!

I'm literally pissed about what they chose to do with Otto..... so frustrated at that. So much for character growth...... hey is that an open window? Let's just throw all that growth right out of it

I don't know, I think that's the problem with all this happening around superior 19: we know how that story ends already. to me he makes the most character development after he gets back from spider-verse, so I was cool with how they played this out.

This event turned out to be really flat in my opinion. The buildup took forever and the story playing out was so rushed...and once again, Pete was not the hero in his own book. Remember the good old days when he could actually beat a villain without being rescued over and over again? I really feel like this book needs some fresh blood on it. Slott is a good writer (i.e. Silver Surfer), but I am not a fan of his Spidey run at all. I am a huge spidey fan, I even recently started reading the series from issue #1 (Marvel Unlimited) and I couldn't agree more. They have diluted his powers over the years to the point now even Silk is more powerful. And, even though I have enjoyed a lot of Slott's run, I wish someone would actually write him to be one of the big dog characters of the Marvel U. I hate how he has been the perpetual lovable loser instead of progressing him to his full potential. As for the Spider-verse event, like most events, it started strong and fizzled out at the end. While Slott's the writer, I put this more on the editorial group. As usual it's do what you want during the event, but make sure no major changes are made....we can't upset the status quo.
