Well part of the internet exploded with what happened in Amazing #8, I still will read the event (I'm so hyped). And we got another awesome Spider getting focus on January it seems with Spider-Punk or Punk Rock Spider-Man!

Without being too spoiler-y, but that in a story's epilogue, Dan Slott took an axe to what Tom DeFalco, Pat Olliffe, Al Williamson, Ron Frenz, and Sal Buscema spent nearly 200 issues creating?

I agree, first time we even have mention of these characters in almost five years, and then the axe came down. Now I'm sad again.

Being a relatively new reader and not knowing much about Spider-Girl this issue didn't bother me or get me mad, i really thought it was awesome. I do understand peoples frustration with Slot but i don't think you can say it wasn't written well. I've never read any spider girl before this but I'm incredibly exited to see her in Spider Verse and even go back and read other stuff she's in.
Speaking of witch can any one tell me some good spider girl books besides her first appearance in What if? 105 i don't know where to go from that?

I read some of the previous issues here and there, I think what people have a problem with (not me) is that her happy ending was destroyed and what she said before leaving with Last Stand and UK Spider-Men....which I took as her being in a state of rage. I mean we all said things we never meant or think about while in a state of rage (and in her case is a big one due to what happened).
I'm still excited about Spider-Verse despite what many people have been complaining about, if they want to walk away, they are in all their right to do so.

Speaking of witch can any one tell me some good spider girl books besides her first appearance in What if? 105 i don't know where to go from that? After What If? She had her own solo title just called Spider-Girl, which lasted 100 or so issues, before being canceled, and replaced with Amazing Spider-Girl which was also collected. Marvel has released trades of most of these (I think the first series is only collected up to 70 or so, and was only collected in digest form), but I think they are out of print now (Spider-Girl: Legacy which collected issues #0 to #5 was first printed in 2004). That being said you can pick them up on Amazon for pretty cheap, the Legacy digest is about six bucks here. It's a great series, the issues are mainly one off stories, so they're a breeze to read through. I'm a big fan of the series and I'm pretty sure our favourite curmudgeonly uncle Bob is a fan too.

Matt, Simon is correct in saying that I'm a huge fan of May "Mayday" Parker and her various Spider-Girl series; in fact she's my #5 favorite super-heroine and#14 over-all! For a quick over-view of her life-and-times, you might want to check out this piece of mine entitled The Amazing Spider-Girl!

And the main event is here and I must say I liked it! The art is just gorgeous! (typical Copiel)...I got so excited with that splash page with all the Spiders and laughed at the caption for Spider-Gwen.
Spider-Verse Team-Up was also a nice read and I like how we got stories for the both groups we have currently (UK and Superior).

I liked Spider-Verse #1 (despite not adding anything to the overall plot other than showing more Spiders). After seeing the Lady Spider story I MIGHT have to pick up Spider-Man 2099 (since she will show up in that book).
Other than that I enjoyed the rest of the stories (maybe not so much the Mangaverse Spider-Man), the comic strip one was the best "Are you brain damaged?!"

And man, this event gets better and better!!! Now, everyone's favorite a**hole has joined the party! I'm sad about Old Man Spider-Man and didn't saw that one coming. And finally nice way to set up the other tie-in series.
I picked up Spider-Woman #1 out of curiosity and (despite Greg Land's art) it was a nice read....I might just get the Spider-Verse related issues. I'm not so sure yet.

I haven't been a very big fan of Dan Slott's run of ASM/SSM/ASM, but I have to say, Spider-Verse is off to a fairly interesting start. I hope he can keep it up.
