Did anyone read this weeks issue? I'm really wanting to see what some other folks think about what happened. The entire time I was thinking that both Rick and Negan were full of crap and it was only a matter of time before one of them took action. Kind of predictable but with weeks of stale issues and a slow moving drawn out story the issue had some impact. Best issue by far in a few months now. I hope that the end of the story line ends with an even bigger bang moving the series forward and not into its own grave. Come on Kirkman! Wow us!

So how do you feel about the conclusion of All Out War? Did anyone feel like this was a let down, or was it a logical ending for the arc?

I was sooooo excited to read issue #126 and to see how Kirkman ended this arc. I couldnt help but feel afterwards that they took the easy way out. I was satisfied with the character development and decisions that some people had to make because in a way, its not what you expected but if you really thought about the scenario, maybe it is what you would expect. I know that may not make total sense to people but after you read the issue I am sure you will understand. And of course it leaves the door open for 100 different things.
I will say one last thing though. Due to the length of this arc (and the fact that we had to spend $2.99 twice a month for 6 months), if Kirkman doesnt step up his game and start really WOWing the audience with this book, this is going to be the beginning of the end. I already know so many people who left this book a long time ago never to look back. They need something absolutely shocking and amazing to get this train rolling again. I felt like this 6 month story arc just fizzled out at the end with no real cliffhanger or major excitement moment.
Thoughts?

I really enjoyed this arc, and was pleasantly surprised by the ending. I won't miss the double shipping, but I think the last 12 issues kick-started some life into the series. The last few issues kept me saying "I want more, now... you can weekly this book if you want!"
I can see why people didn't like the ending, but to be fair - no matter how they chose to end it, people would've been upset. In a book largely about death, it's nice to see some living. Which also allows for more archs with a character that I've grown to enjoy.

I felt every meh about the whole thing. The arc lasted way way longer than it should have and while I appreciate the idea of the ending, it didn't feel like that much of a status quo changer. I need something more. I don't know what it is yet but I know that this arc wasn't it for me.

I've just finished reading all 20 of the TP's, It took me about a month. This book is so addictive, I devoured trade after trade and can't wait for the next one but I have to admit the war arc was a struggle to get through. It felt like it could have been wrapped up much sooner but I'll be on board for the next one.

I'm sad to read these comments, an also happy to have stopped around issue 92-93... but definitely planning to catch up, no matter what. If not for other things, at least I'm going to re-read my Compendium 1 Fugazi: I was also thinking about why they never have bikes in a zombie apocalypse... they need no fuel, no food, and they are pretty fast.

So Issue 130 we get a couple of reveals. I think that this series is really picking back up to be honest. They are introducing new characters and have seemed to break away from the we get comfortable then have to run then find a new place, have a war, then have to run. Im interested to see what happens when Negan finally gets out. And the dynamic of Rick being separated from Carl now (or is he because the blacksmith has his apprentice). Either way, if people are looking at this forum page to see what others think about the series now, for any fans of the series in the past, I would hop back on because its worth it and hopefully going to continue to get better in the coming issues.

I finally started reading this series on the weekend(thanks Humble Bundle!)and after reading about the first fifteen issues i don't know yet whether i love or hate it. Sure, its a pretty addicting book, but its also pretty damn depressing, think its probably the most depressed thing i ever read, and since i already knew some stuff that happens in this book before i started reading it i know for sure its only gonna get more depressing. But i will at least read the rest of the Compendium, and we'll see if i will continue it after that.

The Compendium Vol.1 is a pretty compelling read. It's almost like Manga the way it drives you through s dense bulk of material at breakneck speed. After that the returns are diminishing but really there isn't much not not love about the pulpy thrille of WD 1-48.
