Has anyone checked out this series? I picked up the first issue on a whim and by the most current third issue it's become a favorite. This is the forth Image title that I've added to my pull list.

I've been reading the first couple issues and I love it as well. I may stop buying the single issues since it has been announced as being an 8 issue mini series.

I read just about anything that Stjepan Seijic is attached to. Death Vigil continues this trend, and turns an otherwise grimdark premise into a fun, sorta heartwarming dramedy. Plus, he's one of the nicest creators ever.

First I want to thank Harmonica for introducing this title and Stjepan Sejic to me. I love this book, it is by far one of my favorirtes and I want to encourage anyone who is not reading it to start. I read this and was imidiately hooked and have actively sought out anything Sejic has been involve in, including Sunstone and Ravine. I started rat queens just so I could be up to date once Sejic's run begins.
While I love Sejic's art, I really enjoy his writing more. His characters have personality and the dialog is fun and his storytelling is well paced without being rushed.

My friends at my LCS have been praising Top Cow and since I heard he's taking over for Rat Queens, I wanted to read more of his creator owned stuff. I just got into Stjepan Sejic's work with Sunstone and I was lucky enough to find the first two issues of Death Vigil on sale for a dollar each and I love both series. I just ordered more issues from the Top Cow site. He has a great sense of world building and character building which makes it easy to get invested in the plot and characters. Loving it so far!

this is my favourite comic on the shelves since #1 came out. and toxicsooner you are welcome Just some information: Death Vigil is not a mini series. after the first arc (8 issues) there will be a character focused 4 issue mini-series and after that its going to be ongoing and the first TPB will be solicited for may according to his deviantart. btw here is a nice interview with him they call it a review but it really isnt all-comic.com/2015/interviewreview-death-vigil-6/i think his "writing" process is really interesting you really dont get that from any other comic creator too bad ill have to wait another week for the next issue since i always get my comics a week late

All I'm gonna say about issue 6 is...this is why this book is the first I read when it comes out and then go back and read it again after I've read everything else.

I'm hoping that trade sales SURGE because of the hype and the fact that Stjepan Sejic is the new Rat Queens artist. I need more Death Vigil stories in my life.

Totally agree about Maria, even with her motives I still don't like her. I've always thought there was something up with Clara and she had a secret that has been hinted at. I can't wait to see where Sejic takes us next.

well back in issue 1 they said something about the portal not closing even though the necro had been neutralized and that something big and bad (a primordial?) was going to come through and hinted that it had something to do with Clara... might have to go re-read that first issue and see if I can gather any more clues and speaking of primordials, Mia rocks. Not a fan of her dad though, but that might be because I'm a big softie for Bernie and don't want him to be right about her
