Elektra was dropping in sales pretty dramatically, fwiw. The preorder sales for the Superior Foes vol 1 trade kept it alive for extra issues, but from what I could tell at a book website, the imprint for Elektra was half the size. So, while it was a really cool book, it just didn't move enough to develop an audience.
Marvel did say they'd put them on other work.

I know it's not comics related, but I can't wait to see the process of building Bobby's gaming computer. I'm actually looking to make one myself but don't have a lot of PC gamer friends, so it'll be great to see the process and know whether or not I want to undertake such an endeavor.
As for the Marvel rebooted universe rumors, I don't think it's substantiated enough yet beyond what's happening in Avengers and New Avengers. On the show, Bobby suggested it was just an end for Hickman's work on these books and I think that's more likely. That being said, I wouldn't mind if Marvel moved to a "seasons" model as Bob has previously discussed. Having full collections of stories would be great for someone like me that's mostly picking up Marvel in trade anyway and it would work well for books like Elektra (which I didn't know was cancelled until I heard the show), which, let's be honest, wasn't going to make it to a lengthy run anyhow. Marvel could model their practice after television studios and "greenlight" certain titles for a "season" (12 issues) and then see how sales of the individual books/trades go and possibly allow another 6 or 12-issue story. Then you can see if stuff like All-New Ghost Rider or Elektra really has the audience out there to sustain it.

John, I also think that a 'season' model could lead to more experimental titles, or ones that feature under-utilized characters, seeing how the book would be pitched as a complete story in-and-of-itself, rather than as an on-going!

I don't see Marvel doing the reboot thing honestly, and isn't Marvel technically doing the "season" thing already with all the new #1's and such?
Ohh and All-New X-Men ended with them in the Ultimate Universe, so that character hasn't crossed over the 616.

Could it be that they're readying the marketplace for the formalization of that season-by-season or yearly volume plan?

The cat attack was amazing. LOL. Thanks for another great pod cast. Don, For those on the other end of the Skype call, it sounded as if the French Revolution had broken out again, or that perhaps a meteor had struck poor Stephanie's flat! It was certainly entertaining...at least to us not being attacked by Kaylee!

Yeah, the way we have been getting more and more new #1's issues after 12 or so issues kinda suggest that they will eventually make this a common thing. I mean they are barely using the "Marvel NOW!" "All-New Marvel NOW!" tag line for some of the newer books. (Which seems to be a move from the "event" taglines they done in the past such as Heroic Age or Dark Reign).
