Good show.
I'm finally taking the plunge into the next gen with the Destiny bundle for the PS4, and generally I try to keep it to one console (+PC) for each generation, but the Xbox One bundle with Sunset Overdrive (for $400 total!) is making that hard to resist! Plus, I would love to have a next gen version of Halo 2 with the Master Chief series... and then Halo 5 on the horizon. Tough to hold out on. Sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't have gone with the Xbox instead, but everything I know about the PS4 just makes it a better system and it'll give me the option to finally play the Last of Us.
Also, there was a lot of talk of Diablo 3 on this podcast. I played it on PC and thought it was very good. I know most of you are console gamers since there's very little PC gaming discussion, but if you haven't played it, it's worth the bargain price of $20 to pick up Torchlight 2. It's developed by Runic Games, which was formed by the original Diablo 1 & 2 creators of Blizzard North. The combination of fantasy and steam-punk, plus it's wide variety of classes, build-outs, pet system, and the large modding community has firmly place the game as my favorite action RPG of all time (previously it was Diablo 2). I loved playing as an engineer and leveling up my skills to create these sweet robotic drones and stuff like that. And at $20, it's a steal... oh, and it supports 6 player co-op.

Okay, you guys gotta help me out, I bought Rogue Legacy based on all your glowing reviews and I just don't get it? I've been playing video games for 25+ years and I have never been as frustrated as this game gets me, to the point that I'm not having fun at all. I don't want to give up because I paid $16 for it but I am lost, I hear you guys talk about getting $11,000+ gold in one run?! I've never had more then $260. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I don't live longer than a couple minutes. I'm in the verge of deleting it and eating the $16 that so far feels wasted. Please learn me what I'm doing wrong, I wanna have the kind of fun with game that I hear Jacque talkin about!!

Keep plugging away and build your character up. Level up health, strength and armour often and be sure to buy the reductions to how much the dude at the gate takes off you, that makes a BIG difference. It's hard work at first, but it's all about long term. Don't try and beat and bosses to start with, just go hunting for as much gold as you can and build up your stats. You'll soon find yourself surviving for much longer, collecting more gold and progressing much faster.

Please learn me what I'm doing wrong, I wanna have the kind of fun with game that I hear Jacque talkin about!! At first I was felt the same. Was barely getting any gold and dying really quick. What you need is one good run with a tank character to pick up the most gold possible. Huw is right. The game is all about having a good run and then leveling up and doing it again. Here's some of the suggestions I followed Explore! Go into a room and if you think you'll die, back out and go another way. This could lead you into a chest. Don't fight the bosses early. Ignore them. Build up your health and attack levels. Also, be patient, don't rush the enemy. Let them come to you or watch their patterns. Take whatever money you have and spend it! Later on you can start paying down Charon ( the guy who takes all your money as you go into the castle) and he'll eventually only take 50% of your money. Use the architect if you're having trouble. You'll only get 60 Percent gold but you'll have the same layout as your previous life. You'll know what's where. My first few times in I was in exactly the same spot you were. Then I had a 900 gold run with a tank just by luck and chance. I was able to level up a few things and have another good run. I stayed around 900 for a while and the. Had a 2000 gold run. Leveled up some more and then started getting 2000 pretty consistently. That's how the game goes. Later use runes/blueprints after you find them. They help big time. Hopefully this is a little helpful. Let me know how it goes.

I can tell some on the podcast would love to start talking more in depth about their Last of Us experience, and I would love, love to hear that roundtable discussion, a spoilercast of sorts... but I won't be able to even begin playing Last of Us under September 9th when I get my PS4. So maybe hold off till October. Actually, as I am typing this, I am sure there are many story driven games that would be great to hear you fine folks discuss filled with all sorts of Stephanie Browns. I am not really sure what a fair about of time passage is fair to consider for a Spoiler discussion.

The last of us would be the best game to start with.
