Really enjoyed the show. It made my 5 hour train journey today a pleasure. Now I gotta check out The Bunker...

Bobby good for you to make those statements on Ferguson. I spent some days in St Louis a while back and found the people there are so lovely and friendly- its a great city and its really disturbing whats happening there.
We had a similar situation in London in 2011, rioting spread to other areas, but I do think this is a case ehere the largely unarmed British police handle things better then in the US. Its tough to change that but well done on voicing your outrage.

I am really happy Nikki recommended Emily Carroll's "Through the Woods". I am a really big fan of her work and am surprised she isn't more widely known. She is one of the best webcomic artists out there both for her beautiful, haunting and, at times, terrifying stories but also because unlike so many webcomic creators she really uses the medium to its full advantage. She uses scrolling (up/down + left.right), links, and motion - features unique to the web that cannot be replicated in print - to their fullest advantage to make for an incredible reading experience. There are 12 comics on her website (including "His Face All Red" which was adapted for print for the book) and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are all fairly short and, while they share a similar aesthetic, they are each quite different. emcarroll.com/

I discovered her through Kate Leth's podcast Less than Live and the book launch was in my town so I picked it up. She's an incredible story-teller.
